Qualifications

What You’ll Do

· Manage patient calls to the nurse line regarding urgent appointments, medication refills, care instructions and a variety of other concerns

· Accurately document all communications in patient’s EMR

· Communicate with providers regarding appropriate patient care and advise patients of care instructions

· Maintains privacy and confidentiality of all patient protected health information according to HIPAA guidelines

8 hour shift Monday-Friday (graveyard shift; Central Standard Time)

Weekend days off

• Active USRN (State of Texas) license
• A detail oriented, multitasker who is passionate about patient care

• Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.

Responsibilities

• Translate details from a patient's medical documents into medical codes for health insurance claims purposes
• Liaising with the client and team members for coding related queries and concerns
• Perform audits for coding denials, missing information and charts
• Maintain a tracking system for the charts coded and ensure work completion

• Must be AAPC/AHIMA certified coder
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Coding
• Knowledgeable in US Insurance Plan Structure and HIPAA regulations
• Good oral and verbal English communication skills as well as listening skills
• Capacity to navigate challenging situations with ease
• Willing to work in a graveyard shift (US time zone)
