Job Summary:
The role of Technical Operations Country Manager is a strategic leadership position that entails overseeing all facets of technical operations within a dynamic Live-Studio production environment. This pivotal role encompasses a spectrum of responsibilities, beginning with the development and maintenance of studio environments. The role is entrusted with ensuring the seamless execution of broadcasted content, orchestrating a diverse array of technical experts and teams in Video, Audio, Information Technology (IT), Build Crew, Equipment Support, and other Technical Operation teams.
As a leader in technical projects management, the Country Manager directs the orchestration of the full stack of equipment necessary for project delivery. This extends to the meticulous oversight of spare or daily maintenance stock items essential in broadcasting, studio environment furniture, and server room equipment. Additionally, the position involves active participation in the strategic planning of studio pavilions (Gaming Floors), collaborating with infrastructural engineers and construction project managers.
One of the key responsibilities is to foster collaboration among International and local technical experts, emphasizing standardization and development synergies. The Technical Operations Country Manager is envisioned as an individual possessing not only a profound understanding of cutting-edge technologies but also demonstrating adept personnel management skills and an unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of live broadcasting production quality. This role serves as a unifying force, bringing together diverse elements to create a harmonious and technologically advanced production environment.
Duties :
- Provide visionary leadership to a diverse team of technical experts in various, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Conduct professionals staff hiring & development to keep the technical team abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align technical capabilities.
- Foster collaboration, particularly inside the department with IT, Video, Audio, Equipment Support, Studio Engineering, R&D and Internal Production teams over the globe on international level, to optimize workflow and development efficiency.
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of cutting-edge technical infrastructure, ensuring unparalleled capabilities for 24/7 Live-Studio Production. This encompasses not only meticulous studio floor and studio planning but also the foresight to anticipate potential challenges in studio construction, coupled with the ability to devise flexible solutions
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and deployment of broadcast equipment in tight timelines and guarantee optimal performance.
- Implement and oversee adherence to relevant systems and control department flow of ticket system project of technical teams, e.g. Confluence ( JIRA ), Microsoft Automatization or other ERP platforms.
- Monitor and manage the environmental conditions of technical spaces, such as server rooms and studio areas, to ensure optimal performance and equipment longevity.
- Implement and refine workflows to optimize the utilization of technical resources, enhancing productivity and reducing operational bottlenecks.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry regulations, standards, and emerging technologies, ensuring the organization's technical operations remain at the forefront of compliance.
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive budgets for technical operations, exercising fiscal responsibility while ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge services
- Develop and implement robust contingency plans for technical failures or emergencies of live broadcasts, ensuring the seamless execution of emergency response protocols of 24/7/365 Live Production Studio.
- Evaluate tight collaboration with procurement & logistics teams, give technical directions to suppliers and foresee equipment procurement & logistics processes.
- Manage technical aspect relationships along procurement & logistics, with technical service providers and contractors, ensuring the timely delivery of services or equipment, also adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure team of professionals and technical experts are equipped with tools and materials required builds and maintenance.
- Perform other duties, as asked by the manager, which are related to this position, and which meet the qualifications
