In our team, we are responsible for all workplace related applications and technologies. The Web Workplace will be the future focus of our team. It is a persona agnostic workplace serving all mid- and backoffice personas with a lot of integration capabilities.

Our team consists of software engineers & business analysts across the locations Manila and Zurich. The team is mostly self-organized and uses agile methodologies. We are not afraid to meet short time deadlines without making compromises to the quality of our work. Challenges reach across multiple technology stacks, from the pl/sql driven backend to Angular driven frontend. 

Your key tasks

• Collaboration with the Product Owner and Architects for specifications and design
• Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise 
• Design, develop and maintain thought-out solutions within the team’s responsibility in the RM Workplace
• Improve and optimize existing functionalities
• Perform code reviews and coach junior team members

About the team

Develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identifies client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software. Trains and communicates with clients on systems application.

What you will be doing
• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
• May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results.
• May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring

• Core Java experience

• Other related technologies: Junit, SpringBoot, Hibernate, Jenkins, Azure or WAS

• Oracle or Postgre SQL for database

• Sound understanding of Design Patterns, Behaviour Driven Development

• Confident and adaptable personality

• Strong organisational, prioritisation, and planning skills

• Ability to perform under pressure

• Good attitude, hunger for learning, drive to do the work, has good motivation, can do attitude
