The Application Support Analyst role is responsible for second level support and maintenance of managed Datacom client applications through its lifecycle. You will play a critical role in the delivery of world-class client support and are responsible for responding to technical and non-technical customer queries. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a technical or customer support background to expand our Customer Support team. The successful candidate will possess very strong problem-solving and communication skills. They will thrive in a fast paced, team-oriented environment, and process the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role is best suited for a self-starter who is comfortable working with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively support the Turnitin product line via primarily email, (sometimes phone & live chat), ensuring problem resolution, system access, and optimal system performance.

• Coordinate closely with Engineering and Product Management on all product issues & releases

• Develop positive customer and cultural relations.

• Assist in the translation, maintenance, and updating of technical documentation associated with the product line.

• Support other strategic initiatives as needed.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Provides 24 x 7 on-call support for all assigned production-related systems.

• Develops and executes scripts, utilities and associated test plans. Scripts may modify data that is not updateable via user interface.

• May conduct code-level software analyses to identify root cause of bugs and/or system modifications as needed.

• Interfaces with internal clients, vendors, managers, IT and Product Development to resolve problems.

• Analyzes problem, documents and communicates resolution and conducts follow up. Escalates problems to appropriate teams when necessary.

• Assists in documenting current policies and procedures.

• Represents team on cross-functional teams for production, support and development activities.

• Performs specialty production processing.

• Learns, understands, implements and utilizes SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) and security regulations.

• Performs monthly and quarterly SOX testing.

• Interacts with internal departments to deliver solutions.

• Interprets and presents data and conclusions to management as needed.

• Improve methodologies used in the job.

• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What You Will Bring:

• Must have skills/tools/experience - Troubleshooting SQL database, scripting, analyzing character limits, stored procs. A lot of our algorithms are SQL code based.

• Nice to have skills/tools/experience - Windows servers, browsers, network connections, security permissions from group policies down to the application permissions,

• Must be amenable to work either mid shift or night shift (shifting between the two)

• Must be amenable to work on a Hybrid setup (twice a week onsite). Office location is at Ecoplaza Bldg., Makati City (near Magallanes MRT Station, EDSA)

• College Undergraduates or Non-Bachelor's Degree holders with relevant experience are welcome to apply

• Knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies

• Knowledge of a wide range of interface design, development and debugging tools, techniques and methodologies

• Knowledge of testing tools and quality control requirements

• Knowledge of programming languages

• • Knowledge of primary database engines with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries for data validation and troubleshooting

• Demonstrated knowledge of company products and services
