About the role: 
As a Technology Business Consultant, you’ll contribute to a critical component of our success. While working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative, new solutions that meet their needs and help advance the way the world pays, banks and invests.  
 
What you will be doing: 

• Debugging and Creating complex SQL Queries (Basic Concepts like – Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, Error Handling and Query Optimizations)

• Basic Understanding of Asp.net MVC architecture and deployment of Web Applications on IIS

• Basic Understanding on how HTTP REST Web API works (URL structure)

• Difference between Web API and Web Services

• Authorization and Authentication especially OAuth 2.0 and how it works.

• OData Framework Report understanding

• Client application vs Server side understanding

• Web API Testing Tool knowledge such as POSTMAN or SOAP UI etc.

• Basic Understanding of Crystal Report and standards

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical guidance to all Certification Centres in the contribution to the achievement of Quality Goals and Performance Standards

• Provide higher level of decision with regards to technical issues of the PCA process including any discrepancy that may occur between certification centers and inspecting affiliates
• Provide the Sector, if required, with technical advice and guidance for further development of the Conformity Assessment Programs according to TFS business strategy

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Updates himself / herself with the recent developments in the area of international rules, regulations, policies and practices pertaining to Conformity Assessment.
• Develops new policies, rules, instructions for existing and new PCA contracts
• Issues technical guidelines and policies to ensure continuous and consistent adherence to TFS Business Rules, Country Instructions and other technical requirements for inspection body (ISO/IEC 17020) and product certification body (ISO/IEC 17065).
• Provides direction and coaching to the Certification Centre (CC) Leaders in the areas of

• Advises Certification Centres contract teams on complex and highly technical cases.
• Facilitates CC Management Team meeting, as required, in addressing clarifications, issues, concerns and provide updates on policy aspects.

• Reports to Management any breach of integrity, solicitation for, or offer of, an improper payment or advantage coming to his/her knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Management and Maintenance

• Install, configure, and maintain databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS).
• Perform routine database backups, restorations, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor database performance, implementing optimization techniques to ensure high availability and fast response times.

Database Security and Access Control

Database Backup and Recovery

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Management, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, managing and maintaining large-scale databases.
• Strong experience with popular relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.
• Familiarity with database replication, clustering, and high-availability technologies.
• Proven experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and other database query languages.
• Familiarity with database management tools, monitoring systems, and performance tuning techniques.
• Experience with database security, access control, and encryption techniques.
• Understanding of indexing, query optimization, and caching techniques to improve database performance.
• Experience with data migration, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
