You will support our organisation's efforts to achieve ISO27001 certification. As an internal auditor, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on internal audits to assess the organization's information security management system (ISMS) against the requirements of the ISO27001 standard. You will work closely with the project team and provide recommendations for improving the ISMS to meet certification requirements. You will have strong communication and analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the information security management system framework. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Audit Compliance: Develop an internal audit program and schedule to cover all applicable ISO27001 requirements and conduct regular audits to assess compliance with ISO 27001 standards and best security practices. 

• Policy Evaluation: Conduct thorough, objective audits of the organisation's ISMS, including policies, procedures, processes, and controls to ensure effectiveness and adherence to ISO 27001 requirements. 

• Gap Identification: Identify gaps, nonconformities, and areas for improvement in the information security management system (ISMS). 

• Reporting: Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing audit findings, recommendations, and corrective actions. Liaise with the certification body and support the external audit process. 

• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to follow up on corrective and preventive actions to address audit issues. Provide guidance and training to process owners on ISO27001 audit requirements.  

• Stay-Informed: Stay informed about updates to ISO 27001 standards and industry best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. 

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience conducting internal audits, preferably in information security management systems. 
• Strong understanding of ISO27001, information security principles, risk management, and control frameworks. 
• Strong communication and analytical skills to assess complex systems and processes.

The Position

Arch has an opportunity for a motivated professional to make a difference. We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor who will gain hands-on experience with business and technology processes, risks, and controls. You will build direct relationships with key technology, business, and audit leaders in order to prepare risk assessments, identify audit opportunities, and conduct effective audits & advisory projects. The Senior Internal Auditor will also have the opportunity to lead aspects of Internal Audit projects. • Serve as a team member on Audit/Advisory projects
• Testing controls as part of quarterly SOX cycle
• Preparing reports to Group and Audit Committee on audit findings
• Perform Audit activities, including: conduct interviews/walkthroughs, testing, wrap-up and related procedures to facilitate the completion of Audit/Advisory projects
• May be required to lead certain aspects of Audit/Advisory projects
• May be required to supervise Internal Auditor(s) on selected projects

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to assess effectiveness and identify any gaps or risks.
• Develop and execute audit plans, including the identification of key risks and controls, and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Analyze financial statements, internal controls, and operating processes to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements to management.
• Evaluate business processes, systems, and best practices to identify areas for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction.
• Prepare detailed audit findings reports, including recommendations for corrective actions, and present them to management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules, ensuring timely completion of audits and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to maintain internal auditing standards and recommend adjustments to policies and procedures as necessary.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CIA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
