JOB SUMMARY

Primary responsibility will involve 1) preparing and filing sales and use tax returns for over 130 registered state and local jurisdictions in the United States, 2) preparing and filing Canada’s GST / HST / QST monthly returns, and 3) compiling gross receipt and corresponding tax data for Australia and Japan to be sent to local accountants for reporting purposes.  Participate in the exempt certificate project, as necessary.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Responsible for preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns for US jurisdictions where Avid is registered.  Perform monthly reconciliations by comparing monthly SAP reports and Sovos reports. Ensure timely monthly return submissions and payment reconciliations.   Prepare and file Canada’s GST / HST / QST computations and filings.  Reconcile the GL accounts to Sovos and returns filed.  Compile Australia’s GST detail to create a workbook that is sent to an Australian tax accountant who files the monthly return.  A payment request is generated and once approved sent to AP to wire the funds to the Australian Tax Office. Pull together Japan’s current month’s detail to determines if the monthly return will be filed on actual transactions or on the prior year tax amount.  This report is sent to accountants in Japan to file.  A payment request is created and sent to AP to wire the monthly interim tax payment to the Japan Tax Agent so they can forward the funds to the Japan Government.  Support the Order Management team by providing tax guidance on orders being processed.  Work closely with Order Management as orders are created to determine if tax exempt certificates are required along with tax calculations. Assist in the clean-up and collection of customers’ tax-exempt certificates.  This project will entail reaching out to over 9,000 customers to obtain their updated tax-exempt certificates.  The certificates will then need to be uploaded into Sovos to migrate over to Avalara.

As a Leads Verification Specialist, you’ll primarily be responsible for gathering accurate marketable data from the targeted universe and entering this information into a proprietary data-entry system, demonstrating the highest expertise in speed of entry, accuracy of content and professionalism in any direct company contact.

Using various research methods (primarily telephone-based), this position is required to ask a prescriptive list of questions of each company, and ensure key performance indicators are achieved on a daily basis. Some of these KPIs include a targeted number of positive outcomes each day; depth of content updated; and a qualitative assessment, which measures both accuracy of content and the engagement quality of the call.

Your day could see you:

• Verify / update company information via a telephone interview (or web research as required) using a set template of questions/data elements requiring verification/update. 
• Work diligently to meet daily/weekly/monthly as prescribed to meet monthly conversion and volume targets.
• Answer any queries or questions posed by subject companies, the purpose of the call, and the future use of the information contained on the database.
• Direct any other queries to the relevant department/person.
• Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Seeking two (2) suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Specialists – Community Development (CDF Projects) on a Project – based employment to work with the CDF Project Team in the implementation of the CDF for Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino. One will be based at Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya and another at Cabarroguis, Quirino. They will report to the Superintendent – External Affairs and Communications.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Facilitates the planning, development, monitoring, and evaluation of all community programs/projects under the Community Development Fund

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist that’ll play a crucial role in ensuring

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Bill.com:

● Enter and verify vendor invoices in Bill.com, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

● Utilize Bill.com approval workflow to route invoices for internal review and authorization.

● Manage exceptions and discrepancies, communicating effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.

● Prepare weekly payment proposal for review by Accounts Payable Manager.

Accounts Payable Processing:

● Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.

● Maintain accurate and organized records of all payables activity.

● Assist with month-end close activities.

● Participate in ad-hoc projects.

Vendor Management:

● Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries.

● Collection of documents for vendor onboarding and importing data into our AP system.

● Assist with updating and maintaining vendor information in Bill.com and internal systems.

● Assist with resolving vendor disputes and issues.
