What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a QA Analyst.
- Strong background in the financial sector, specifically within the banking space.
- Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with financial datasets, particularly FactSet.
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases for financial systems.
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with data validation and reconciliation techniques.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think critically and creatively to identify and solve issues related to financial data.
- Experience with SQL and data validation techniques.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
What will you do?
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for financial systems and datasets.
- Perform thorough testing on financial datasets and banking applications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs and discrepancies in financial data.
- Financial Data Expertise:
- Utilize expertise in financial datasets, particularly FactSet, to validate data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with financial analysts and data scientists to understand and verify complex financial models and data transformations.
- Ensure financial data quality by performing data validation and reconciliation tasks.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality and reliability of new and existing features through systematic testing.
- Validate data pipelines and transformations to maintain the integrity of financial datasets.
- Review and analyze system specifications to identify test requirements specific to financial systems.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Advocate for QA best practices within the engineering team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in financial QA methodologies and tools.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance the QA process for financial systems.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare detailed reports on testing outcomes, defects, and quality metrics.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding testing progress, issues and results.
- Serve as a liaison between financial analysts, data engineers, and the engineering team to ensure seamless integration and quality of financial data
