What we expect of you, day to day

In this role you will be primarily responsible for assisting implementation and ongoing monitoring of adherence with compliance controls associated with the regulatory compliance obligations of Visa Payment Limited. Primary focus is on (but not limited to) Payment Services Regulations, Wire Transfer Regulations, Bribery Act, Criminal Finances Act and their application.

• Testing controls that are being performed by wider business first line teams as well as compliance teams.
• Assisting with enhancing First Line of Defence (FLOD) and Monitoring Frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Monitoring that risks are being adequately managed.
• Monitoring performance and consistencies across the function and feeding back to the Manager and/or Senior Manager.
• Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in testing.
• Supporting on regulatory compliance reporting.
• Contributing to design, implementation, and on-going reviews (as necessary) of regulatory compliance.
• Contributing to the creation of new monitoring processes, process maps and documenting new procedures where necessary.
• Assisting with formulation of management information and regular reporting, including but not limited to, local dashboard and metric reporting on compliance findings and progress with projects.
• Contributing to the continuous promotion of a strong culture of compliance, including assisting with  delivery of any necessary training and communications.
• Contributing towards the ongoing development  of effective relationships between all relevant Visa Payments teams and their relevant counterparts within the wider Visa organisation

We are looking for a Compliance individual who is passionate about taking on a new challenge within the payments, financial services and FX industry.
As a Compliance Analyst you will form a critical part of our day-to-day Transaction Monitoring controls.

You’ll use our systems to ensure that Compliance risks are adequately identified, assessed, monitored, controlled and reported as required. 
This role is on a 24/7 shift-based rota and will require the candidate to commit to rotating shift patterns.

What we expect of you, day to day:

• Responsible for day-to-day transaction monitoring of real-time transactions, identifying any potentially fraudulent or suspicious activity
• Analyse payment and compliance data from multiple sources to identify trends and patterns
• Proactively escalate urgent cases to the MLRO/DMLRO for further review
• Conduct screening on PEPs and sanctioned entities and investigate potential hits
• Support data protection compliance.
• Work across teams and departments to proactively identify and resolve operational compliance queries.
• Complete Compliance administration (such as keeping client records up to date) as required
• Review effectiveness of current monitoring rules and settings - and provide feedback on ways to we can optimise them
• Continuously review current processes and systems - and suggest improvements
• Keep up to date with current and future regulatory changes that affect the business - and use this knowledge to proactively suggest improvements to Compliance policies and procedures
• Have a working knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), Economic or Financial Sanctions and payment services, including the E-Money Directive

What’s it all about?

The compliance-risk control framework includes financial crime compliance and regulatory compliance. Financial crime focus is on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF), Sanctions & Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC), and on the associated Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Customer’s Business (KYC/B) & Counterparty Due Diligence (CDD) obligations  including primarily but not limited to: -

•           On-boarding counterparty due diligence

•           Transactional monitoring

•           Sanctions screening

•           Suspicious activity identification, monitoring and reporting

What we expect of you, day to day.

• Develop an understanding of Visa Payments business operations and payment processes
• Identify and internally escalate actual or suspected sanctions matches, assisting and supporting other analysts within the team
• Ensure sanction queries are sent in a timely manner in line with our internal SLAs and deadlines set
• Identify trends and use data to suggest improvements to effectively resolve service issues, escalating appropriately.
• Assist with the development of management information in alignment with regulatory and internal policy/risk expectations
• Assist with the review of new controls to mitigate risks and reduce false positives to improve efficiency across the team.

As a Marketplace Content Associate, you will report directly to the  Marketplace Quality Associate Manager. You will perform content moderation in all areas related to marketplace quality across all countries where Carousell operates. You will act as a generalist who will perform actions to support the content integrity of the platform, with internal and external user experience in mind. This is a full-time project-based (12 months) role based in Ortigas, Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual moderation functions for incoming ads / users  from different sources of report.
• Ensure listings and users in our platform are compliant to our policies.

Responsibilities (how we will measure success)

The Associate Compliance Consultant will be a junior member of the team and will successfully support consultants on a portfolio of Firms by providing compliance advice, including a variety of core compliance areas and technical AML assistance, aiming to ensure positive client feedback.

Part of a growing team and business, this is a multi-faceted role, created in response to client requests for dedicated support combining:

Ongoing compliance assistance, in the form of regular monitoring and attending advisory meetings; and

Supporting a team of senior consultants with the aim of developing into a consulting role.

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

• Responsive regulatory advice and solutions;
• Supporting varied engagements such as: KYC refresh projects, AML Risk Assessments and Internal Capital and Risk Assessments (ICARA);
• Updating clients on regulatory changes and how it impacts their business;
• Drafting and updating relevant policies, procedures and internal working documentation for clients;
• Working with senior consultants and clients to devise their risk-based monitoring programmes or thematic risk assessments;
• Supporting regular compliance monitoring or review visits  with clients, and subsequently writing up working papers and reports;
• Involvement in designing and running training courses;
• Involvement in reviewing upcoming regulatory requirements and drafting thought leadership publications;
• Supporting senior consultants and clients  in completion and reviews of RegData filing and financial reporting;
• Building / developing client relationships.
