SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with local and national regulations at every step of the filing process. Maintains thorough tax records for the organization, compiling reports on expenditures, payroll, and revenue. Work across teams to communicate tax strategy to key employees throughout the organization.
Tax Compliance and Audit :
- Ensure compliance with all local and national laws by accurately determining the tax amounts due and preparing and filing annual returns.
- Keep tax liability at a minimum by leveraging deductions, exemptions, and high-level knowledge of tax laws.
- Educate team members and clients on forthcoming policy changes, technical financial concepts, and best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive tax records and financial data for institutional use and audits.
- Meet strict deadlines to avoid late fees and penalties.
- Track yearly and quarterly revenue and expenses for accurate preparation of tax returns.
- Create additional documentation when necessary, including tax forecasting reports for internal review.
- Collaborate with team members in communicating tax strategies to key employees in other departments.
- Maintain accurate database of tax records, manage electronic bookkeeping software and collation of all tax related documentation for BIR Audits.
- Remain up to date on industry developments.
- Manages end to end process from preparation of payment to archiving of all BIR tax returns including but not limited to corporate income tax, business tax, and transaction withholding taxes.
General Accounting:
- Ensure and carrying-out overall general accounting functions (e.g. Fixed Assets, Period Closing, Bookkeeping, Monthly and Statutory reporting, etc.)
- Ensure timely preparation, review and analysis of GL account reconciliation
- Manages a team
Compliance :
- Review company internal controls, specifically the Fınancıal Process Control Documentation.
- Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and in being the role model of integrity and pride for all employees.
- Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and trainings.

- Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department.
- Be involved and suggest system/process improvements.
