Seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Laboratory and Monitoring Officer for Fixed Term employment who will be responsible for providing assistance in impact assessments to identify, assess, and reduce the organization’s environment risks and impacts and recommend corrective actions related to environmental monitoring, assessment, research, and studies. The role will be report to the Laboratory and Monitoring Supervisor.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Conducting routine laboratory analysis and monitoring activities
- Providing active and direct inputs in organizing the Laboratory and Monitoring team to ensure the timely and effective completion of tasks, objectives, and targets
- Overseeing equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, managing data collection, and implementing quality control measures to maintain accurate and reliable results
- Providing active and direct inputs in developing and implementing environmental processes, strategies, programs, and action plans that supports the attainment of zero environmental harm in Didipio Mine operation
- Providing active and direct inputs in ensuring compliance with local environmental regulatory rules and regulations and OGC standards and requirements related to environmental monitoring, assessment, research, and studies, environmental laboratory operations
- Attending public hearings and consultations on environmental matters related to environmental monitoring, assessment, research, and studies, and environmental laboratory operations
