Role and Responsibilities

Job purpose:
The Compliance and Safety Officer is responsible for the management of Compliance Management Systems and provide health, safety and environment program by working with internal and external stakeholders to establish, implement, review and promote quality, compliance, continuous improvement systems and safety.
The Compliance and Safety Officer is also responsible for managing and ensuring regulatory and legal compliance with relevant industry requirements.
Establish, enhance, and maintain working relationships with Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines section officers and staff,
Provide timely and detailed reporting of license/certificate processing task as assigned.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders, and provide accurate, timely and appropriate advice concerning certification and licensing.
Provides the necessary control of QMS/SMS documents following the procedure for Control of Documents by:
Ensuring that documents are reviewed and approved prior to upload to relevant sharing platforms (e.g. shared folder, Centrik, TCOM)
Retrieves issued documents once they were reviewed/approved as obsolete
Endorses/rolls-out the release of an approved document to relevant recipients whether in soft copy or hard copy (as applicable)
Conducts the necessary training to document authors pertaining to document preparation.
Provides the necessary control of QMS/SMS records following the control of records procedure by:
Coordinating with relevant Records Custodian the handover/retrieval of Quality /SMS records except those which are managed by each department or those defined as confidential/private.
Ensures the timely disposal of hardcopies based on the defined retention period.
Manages the condition of the Records storage room to ensure that records are free from damage or deterioration.
Will act as Safety Officer.
Will act as Internal auditor when assigned on relevant audits to the Fiscal Years Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan
Assist the Quality/Safety Manager on relevant audits from customers, subsidiaries, regulators.
Takes over urgent tasks in the absence or unavailability of the Safety/Quality Manager
Reviews and recommends resources needed for the department to the Quality/Safety Manager.
Qualification:
Minimum 2-3 years working experience as a Quality professional.
Engineering degree and equivalent.
Must be a hands-on leader willing to take responsibility.
Must have a proven track record of successful ISO certifications.
Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read the English language
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be proficient in communications at all levels, both inside and outside of the company.
