A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE
The Audio-Visual Engineer (AV Engineer) owns, manages, and drives innovation for Acquire BPO’s conferencing technologies, wallboards, and CCTVs. The Audio-Visual Engineer is the first line of engagement for Acquire BPO’s audio-visual technologies and works with internal and external customers to design, build, and support solutions for conference rooms and CCTV.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary resource accountable for audio-visual conference facilities, including (but not limited to) Cisco VC, AMX, Polycom, Skype, WebEx, Zoom, etc…
Provide support for meetings, including setup, testing, and execution.
Owns and manages Acquire BPO’s CCTV and audio-visual conference systems and ensures daily health checks are performed
Takes ownership and drives action for issues found during health checks . Spearheads troubleshooting of complex audio-video conferencing and CCTV issues, and coordinates repairs with vendors, if necessary
Work with the facilities and projects teams to design and implement new audio-video conference rooms during site build out.
Provide end user training and materials, as necessary
Facilitate CCTV and audio-video trouble tickets
Travels across Acquire BPO’s sites as deemed necessary to deploy or support the CCTV and audio-visual systems in scope.
A BIT ABOUT YOU
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or equivalent work history
Solid grasp of electronics principles such as conduction, resistance, capacitance, signal amplifiers, etc…
Experience in cabling technologies (copper, coax, fiber) and recommended standard communications protocols such as RS232.
Understanding of basic IP addressing principles
Minimum of 5 years work experience with video conference support, desktop area support and/or large meeting troubleshooting experience
Solid proficiency with audio and video conferencing protocols including: SIP, H.232, cloud video delivery, Skype for Business Voice & Virtual Meeting Rooms
Experience with Building Access Control (CCure would be a bonus)
Ability to scope and find solutions.
Solid proficiency with audio and video conference capabilities including: Cisco VC, AMX, Polycom, Crestron, WebEx, Skype, etc…
Ability to troubleshoot complex video conferencing equipment
Demonstrated ability to be adaptable in a changing environment with shifting priorities which focus on delivering outstanding service to our customers
Ability to work well with peers of a multidisciplinary team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with a consultative mindset and action-oriented goals
Ability to provide feedback and process improvement recommendations
Detail oriented with strong organisational and analytical skills

All projects/new implementations are delivered on time
Weekly health check reports for the in-scope systems
