The Rooms Controller is responsible for maintaining and coordinating the day to day operation of the reception with regards to room inventory; organizing guest room moves; controlling sell-out days and supervising upgrades.
FOLLOW ALL FRONT OFFICE STANDARD OPERATING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Demonstrates that all Front Office Standard Operating Policies and Procedures are performed in all interactions
Provides a warm welcome and assists guests’ according to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Brand Standards
Remains observant and responds to each Guest who approaches the Reception Desk
Is an ambassador of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts by providing an excellent first impression
Maintains a perpetual presence on the Reception Desk throughout the hours of the shift
Greets all Guests courteously, using the Guest’s name whenever possible
Be fully competent in all reception and cashier duties
ASSIGN AND ALLOCATE ROOMS FOR ARRIVING GUEST
Block early arrivals, special needs guests and VIP’s
Orchestrate room moves, communicate & expedite guests waiting for rooms
Review all group resumes and ensure all appropriate information is communicated to colleagues and are noted and applied in the system
Coordinate with Group coordinator
Prepare and ensure that rooms for Site inspection and ready and prepared
Be present at the Reception desk whenever possible
