• Conducts safety inspection of the kitchen, public area, guest room, stores and preventive maintenance, breakdown repair and constructive works.
• Proposes and recommends upgrading, improvement work and energy saving projects.
• Ensures efficient engineering operation is being met, and quality standard is maintained.

• Operation of kitchen equipment, air-con system, building automation, fire protection system, electrical panel, plumbing equipment, boiler, heater and related sub-system to run the Hotels’ operation. 

• Responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown repair and constructive work. 

• Responsible for capital upgrading, minor project upgrading of equipment and alteration to the system.  

• Propose and recommend upgrading, improvement work and energy saving project. 

• Conduct safety inspection of kitchen, public area, guest room, stores and follow-up all related works. 

• Carry out generator testing, lift homing test and fire alarm test. 

• Liaise with users and operating departments for shutdown and servicing. 

• Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel and department.

• Work with professional Engineer, Designer, Consultant, Architect and Contractor on upgrading project and temporary supply for exhibitions and conventions. 

• Assist Technicians to carry out repair work. 

• Supervise Contractor’s work; hold regular meetings to ensure quality standard is maintained and to meet deadline.

· Prepare training requirements

· Deliver brand training programs and property-specific modules to colleagues

· Assist in training needs analysis and development of property-specific programs

· Coordinate with leaders and department trainers to record departmental training activities and assist in their training requirements

· Liaise with external training providers

· Ensure upkeep of training room and proper ordering and inventory of training supplies

· Maintain accurate training records and reports

SUPERVISE THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

· Oversee Hotel Internship Program

· Build strong partnerships with schools

· Recruit, orient, and train all trainees who can be potential colleagues

· Maintain accurate records of interns (including MOAs, medical records, job task checklist, evaluations)

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing training policies, procedures and practices and recommends improvement. 

• Assists the L&D Manager in the selection and training of department trainers. 

• Assists and conducts Training Programs if needed. 

• Assist in conducting assessment/interviews for talents and other related tasks for recruitment. Interview limited up to Casual and Supervisor candidates. 

• Assist in L&D and T&C day-to-day activities in general. 

• Ensures efficient office administration procedures. 

• Ensures that all training records are maintained, filed and updated in the HRM system 

• Ensures training documents are properly routed with strict accuracy and confidentiality 

• Maintains and updates manual and computerised filing system as required 

• Liaises with the local labor authority for all related matters as assigned by the Learning and development manager. 

• Assists in the compilation and accuracy of the departmental operations manuals, job tasks lists and task breakdowns 

• Assists in the preparation of the annual training plan ensuring the objectives fully address the business objectives of the hotel and the training needs of the associates. 

• Assists the Learning and development manager in compiling training attendance confirmation lists for all training courses. 

• Assists in conducting associate survey according to HR plan.
