The data engineer will play a crucial role in setting up the foundations in making this happen - from creating real-time data ingestion infrastructure pipelines to designing best-in-class data models as well as developing automated reporting bots.

What you’ll be doing:

· Develop, maintain, and secure Angkas’ real-time data infrastructure.

· Design data model architecture for analytics ease-of-use.

· Automation of reporting and integration with Technology production systems.

· Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and technical specifications..

• Bachelors degree in Math, Computer Science, or Statistics.
• At least 3-4 years of experience.
• Expert-level SQL and Python skills.
• Experience in Google cloud technologies and services. Other cloud experience can be considered.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead all Mobile Engineering architecture design and implementation across our Apps in Flutter (Primary framework), iOS and Android (Legacy Apps).
• Experiment with new mobile frameworks and architectures to make our Apps more reliable and optimized.
• Maintain and enhance the testing automation framework and CICD, create a strong collaboration relationship with key engineering stakeholders such as QA team, DevOps and backend team.
• Walk the talk: in this role you have to code and lead the way with your example, but you also need to be hands off and speak a non-technical language to partner with other departments.
• Participating in brainstorming and refining features requirements with product Managers, Business Analysts and other stakeholders.
• Responsible for the delivery performance of your Mobile team, which might have a mix of in-house and augmented Mobile engineers.
• Lead and mentor every team member in your Mobile team.
• Help build and contribute to a high-performance mobile engineering culture.

Required Skills and experience

• BS/BA in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years experience with Flutter (Excluding requirement)
• 8+ years experience with Mobile Engineering Technologies (iOS/Android).
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience.
• A team oriented personality, bias to action, excellent communication skills.
• Must have experience leading a team and is something he/she likes
• Previous startup experience strongly preferred

What you’d be doing:

• 100% automation, implement GitOps principle, build, deploy and ship infrastructure for cloud-native software solutions using Terraform and ArgoCD.

• Support backend, mobile, data developers in their daily work with questions around tooling, deployment, CI/CD, and many others. You should be able to use Gitlab CI/CD or anything similar.

• Secure cloud infrastructure for internal and external systems with Hashicorp Vault, Google Secret Manager, or something similar configuration secrets, etc.

• Create application dashboards, alerting and metrics needed for Monitoring with Dynatrace or Grafana Stack. Participate in on-call rotations with the Platform DevOps Team.

• As a Senior Engineer, mentor and provide guidance to others, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, implement and drive projects with minimal to no supervision.

• 5-8 years of experience as DevOps Engineer.

• You have strong experience working with Cloud Platforms preferably GCP, but AWS, Azure and other cloud providers is ok

• Kubernetes and Terraform should be your bread and butter

• You have solid knowledge of CI/CD setup and deployment principles

• You should know scripting or programming language such as Bash, Python, Go

• Good networking skills in the area of DNS, VPCs, Subnets.

• Deep knowledge of Linux and system administration tools.

What is expected of you:

• You will be Crafting well-architected microservice architecture, working on highly scalable backend & Infrastructure
• Developing highly available new APIs for Angkas services
• Participating in brainstorming and refining features requirements with PMs and other stakeholders
