The position is responsible for operational support and management for operating system patching activities covering the Arch Reinsurance Segment user workstation landscape. The actuarial analyst is responsible for collection, organization, interpretation, analysis, scrubbing, documentation and dissemination of complex data sets. The candidate will be responsible for modeling complex problems, reconciling data sets, analyzing trends and summarizing data for review and analysis. The candidate will provide analysis, will process and compile data for reporting and analysis through creating queries, views and reports. The candidate will provide support and be part of the US Actuarial team.

The Data Engineer will implement complex databases and data pipelines that put analytics at the heart of real-time decision-making. They will work closely with leaders across the company on high-profile analytics projects that drive business strategies. They provide technical guidance and ensure the use of sound engineering practices and effective use of resources.  As a key member of the Corporate Actuarial Data & Technology data engineering team, they will advance our implementation capabilities and help our team deliver solutions faster.

The Business Systems Analyst III is responsible for collaborating with the business system owners, and users to capture the right business requests and accurately translating them to specifications that aid design, coding and testing of complex software and/or data warehouse applications within the organization.

The incumbent performs a liaison function between the business users, software engineers and QA analysts for implementing software solutions in order to accurately realize business goals. The incumbent will help populate the roadmap, drive prioritization of the backlog, and ensure stories are detailed enough for development to be planned for.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the business stakeholders to drive the roadmap and prioritize initiatives.
• Work with the business stakeholders to accurately capture all stakeholder requests and translate them into system specifications which typically include functional, non-functional, user interface, reports and external interface specifications.
• Work with software engineers to ensure that the engineering realization is in accordance with the functionality desired in the roadmap.
• Work with the testers to ensure that all software components are tested adequately and participates in Quality Assurance testing as the IT workload requires.
• Provides guidance to stakeholders on what functionality is possible and in what sequence of delivery.
• Manages requirements risks by proactively tracking and communicating issues, and devising methods to mitigating them.
• Liaise with other project and program areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues.
• Analyzes, maps, and communicates current state and future state business processes.
• Supports stakeholders in the resolution of in-depth user questions and issues.
• Maintains a working knowledge of new technology and business analysis standards & practices.
• Collaborates with IT management to define and develop documentation & business analysis artifact standards, guidelines, processes, and templates.
