DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:

The Senior Manager of HR at Elka Asenso will be responsible for overseeing the human resources functions, ensuring compliance with Filipino Labour Law, and fostering a positive work environment. This role involves managing and mentoring the Employee Relationship Managers & Recruitment Team. Developing departmental strategies, policy development and promoting a productive and engaged workforce.

POLICIES AND PROCESS MANAGEMENT:

•Collaborate with the Senior Manager of People & Culture to formulate and execute comprehensive people and culture strategies that support the company's overall mission, vision, and values.

•Ensure the company's policies and practices align with legal and regulatory requirements.

•Oversee HR operations, including policies and procedures, HRIS systems, and compliance.

•Ensure accurate and timely HR reporting and maintain employee records in compliance with data privacy regulations.

•Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.

•Partner with legal counsel to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

•Actively participates in industry associations and contributes to thought leadership.

•Stays abreast of new HR technologies and trends, evaluates their potential impact and recommends innovative solutions to enhance HR processes and data-driven decision-making.

•Analysing workforce demographics, turnover rates, and succession planning data to make informed decisions about talent acquisition, succession management, and workforce optimization.

•Analysing data related to representation, pay equity, and employee experiences across the organisation to identify improvement areas, address disparities, and create an inclusive environment that values diversity and promotes positive employee and client experience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

•Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.

•At least 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.

•In-depth knowledge of Filipino Labour Law and HR best practices.

•Proficiency in HR software and systems. (Preferably Zoho People but not required)

You will support our organisation's efforts to achieve ISO27001 certification. As an internal auditor, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on internal audits to assess the organization's information security management system (ISMS) against the requirements of the ISO27001 standard. You will work closely with the project team and provide recommendations for improving the ISMS to meet certification requirements. You will have strong communication and analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the information security management system framework. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Audit Compliance: Develop an internal audit program and schedule to cover all applicable ISO27001 requirements and conduct regular audits to assess compliance with ISO 27001 standards and best security practices. 

• Policy Evaluation: Conduct thorough, objective audits of the organisation's ISMS, including policies, procedures, processes, and controls to ensure effectiveness and adherence to ISO 27001 requirements. 

• Gap Identification: Identify gaps, nonconformities, and areas for improvement in the information security management system (ISMS). 

• Reporting: Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing audit findings, recommendations, and corrective actions. Liaise with the certification body and support the external audit process. 

• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to follow up on corrective and preventive actions to address audit issues. Provide guidance and training to process owners on ISO27001 audit requirements.  

• Stay-Informed: Stay informed about updates to ISO 27001 standards and industry best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. 

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience conducting internal audits, preferably in information security management systems. 
• Strong understanding of ISO27001, information security principles, risk management, and control frameworks.
