Responsibilities (how we will measure success)
- Support the Luxembourg-based RC (‘responsable du contrôle du respect des obligations’) and the Know Your Asset (‘KYA’) teams in carrying out their daily responsibilities concerning AML/KYC compliance for both external and internal parties.
Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)
AML & Compliance officer will:
- Review and analyze the necessary KYC/KYA documents received to onboard new clients and conduct asset KYA analysis for the Asset DD service;
- Generate and manage reports on AML/KYC data for both investments and clients, including creating checklists to track document statuses for each investment;
- Assist the Luxembourg team in creating various AML/CFT and KYA reports such as the RC annual report, agreements, quarterly RC report, AED/CSSF forms, and more.
- Support implementation and maintenance of document collection procedures, including monitoring shared folders for updates;
- Conduct checks using screening tools like WorldCheck for name screening against financial sanctions lists, PEPs, and regulatory enforcement entities;
- Perform Adverse Media controls;
- Escalate significant AML/CFT deficiencies and issues to Senior management of the RC/KYA team;
- Provide support to the RC and KYA teams for any ad-hoc requests from various stakeholders;
Key competencies for position and level
Getting things right and doing the right thing lie at the core of our AIFM team as they make sure we’re always consistent and comply with current financial regulations. While the role is focusing on AML and Compliance, you will need to be a master organizer, enjoy variety and a methodical planner.
You’ll need to be thorough in all you do, using your own judgment to highlight any significant finds and escalate if rules and regulations are breached. Attention to detail is a must to have.
