Purpose of the Job

To support the Facilities team in securing high quality of paintwork throughout the store in a simple, safe and cost- and time-effective way. This will contribute to consumers' perception of the IKEA brand and the IKEA retailer as a high-quality and affordable home furnishing specialist.

Responsibilities of the Job

• Prioritise work to meet the needs and expectations of store visitors and minimum disruption when working on the shop floor;
• Secure high quality, simplicity and cost-consciousness in the execution of work by using best practises and following routines;
• Implement the agreed store action plan with a sense of urgency and an eye for detail in order to support the creation of a strong visual impression in the store;
• Be conscious of the importance of safety at all times while working on the shop floor and take fast action when safety is compromised;
• Plan and order materials and resources and ensure costs are accurate and agreed;
• Reduce the environmental footprint and minimise costs by working consciously with resources and materials, and maximising opportunities to recycle and reuse materials;
• Stay up to date with knowledge about painting to increase quality and efficiency.

• Optimise sales and long-term profitability, decide on gross margin and profit budgets, as well as drive our ambition of being first choice for home furnishings, including ecommerce.
• Work with the other functions within the Country Commercial Team to develop long-term strategies, engage partners, execute tactical plans, establish clear goals, and translate ideas into realities that are in line with our business plan and commercial priorities.
• Know our global priorities, our range, life at home, and competition to meet the needs of our customers at home.
• Analyse the qualitative performance of our market, and ensure the Service Office Selling team in Philippines leads and supports their matrix in existing and new IKEA stores; with a solid understanding of retail basics, easy buying process, and having a complete customer offer.
• Work with the Store Sales Managers to help them make improvements to their customers’ shopping experience, and working with them to develop their commercial skills.

Your Assignment

• You ensure that customers have a memorable shopping experience in the store for a win win situation and for repeat business;
• You handle and resolve customer difficulties, particularly in IKEA products assembly, and also exchange components parts when they are needed, to offer solutions to frequently asked questions;
• You develop strong knowledge of all items to effectively handle enquires of customers positively and quickly, and resolve any issues they raise within level of authorization;
• You will be responsible to escalate higher issues with relevant information to a manager for him to be able to deal effectively with the customers;
• You will ensure the IKEA store is a safe and secure environment at all times for visitors and colleagues;

He/She develops and uses his/her knowledge and experience of IKEA operations, including IKEA machinery and equipment, as well as the expertise of his/her co-workers within the team to achieve the highest level of availability of products in the store.

Your assignment

• You perform effectively the Goods Flow operation tasks in your assigned area, using the available IKEA systems and equipment to achieve an efficient goods flow process and data integrity, in order to maximize stock accuracy and ensure the highest product availability for customers;
• You contribute to an optimized daily goods flow operation within the assigned goods flow processes by working in a lean, simple, and cost-conscious way;
• You contribute to the agreed goals of the Goods Flow Team, as well as being involved in the goal-setting process of your team;
• You comply with IKEA health, safety, and security guidelines, rules and regulations, and support colleagues in preventing untoward health, safety, and/or security-related incidents in the store.
