The Research and Development Supervisor ensures that:
R&D system and process procedures are in place.
Insights from customers for new products are captured.
Initial hazard analysis and risk assessment of new products are conducted before product development.
Experimental design and project timeline are created; milestones and targets are monitored and accomplished.
Product labels of all new products are compliant to applicable Regulatory and Statutory standards.
Appropriate packaging materials are developed and approved for use in all new products.
Specifications and other requirements for new products of Institutional customers are established, reviewed, and communicated to QA, Procurement, and Production.
Requirements for registration of all new products are prepared accurately.
Product Costing and margins of new products are computed in coordination with Finance.
The performance of newly launched products are monitored; troubleshooting of quality and performance concerns are conducted; and appropriate action plans are recommended and implemented.
Competitive benchmarking reports are available in a timely manner with necessary conclusions and recommendations.
All reports submitted by the R&D Product Technologist are reviewed, verified, and approved for dissemination to appropriate stakeholders.
Other Tasks
Mentors and develops Junior R&D Personnel.
The R&D Supervisor takes a prominent role in the implementation and maintenance of systems such as 5S/GMP, Safety, HACCP, Halal, Food Safety and ISO.
The R&D Supervisor actively participates in all company programs on quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility and risk management.
The R&D Supervisor may be assigned to other related tasks as directed by the R&D Manager.
