We are seeking a senior project manager with the capacity to oversee projects and collaborate with the project management team in order to provide support for wireless and fiber construction services and electric vehicle charging station projects. A senior project manager's skillset should include goal-setting for both production and financials, as well as detailed tracking of project progress and regular updates to stakeholders on the projects' status and growth. Prior experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is recommended for this role. With a team of project managers, coordinators, and clients, the senior project manager must possess strong communication skills. And it should be within the senior project manager's capacity to perform supervisory functions, including hiring, training, and conducting interviews; planning, assigning, and supervising tasks; assessing performance; awarding incentives and enforcing disciplinary measures; managing grievances; and resolving problems. The senior project manager is responsible for keeping tabs on all active projects and teams. Proficiency in meeting project deadlines and adhering to costs is an essential qualification. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- End-to-End project ownership to include project kick off meetings with stakeholders, scheduling, scope and budget tracking, project management of internal and external team members.
- Orchestrates internal and external customer project communication dependencies, timeline, milestones and progress
- Customer ownership and advocacy; the PM provides ‘Voice of the Customer’ project feedback
- Develops and maintains customer project plans based on contractual requirements and service designs
- Budget ownership includes monitoring, forecasting, and gap closure planning across all relevant departments. Performs and oversees daily PM operational tasks working cross-functionally.
- Builds, maintains and reports operational metrics for end-to-end milestone management.
- Manages existing reports and dashboards to provide weekly and quarterly forecasting, metrics and deliverables. Partner with PM teams to identify new metrics and tracking to drive improvements.
- Communicates and coordinates plans and strategies with other functional areas including sales, product, engineering, procurement, network operations and field operations.
- Thorough knowledge of systems/tools, processes, and application of project management methodology at strategic and tactical levels.
- Knowledge of wireless construction, Outside Plant, and field operations processes required for each project inclusive of budget, design, engineering, permitting, construction, splicing, and scheduling.
- Exhibits proficiency in working in harmony with the project management team and ensuring that all members are held responsible for the seamless completion of the project.
- Supervisory duties involve conducting interviews, recruiting, and training employees; organizing, allocating, and overseeing tasks; evaluating performance; providing rewards and implementing disciplinary actions; handling complaints; and solving issues.
