The Continuous Improvement (CI) Leader is responsible for promoting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across our organization. This role involves leading various process optimization projects, facilitating training programs, data consolidation and trend analysis, and driving a culture of excellence and efficiency. The CI Leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, develop strategies, and implement solutions to enhance operational performance and achieve strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Improvement:
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement by analyzing current processes, gathering data, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Strategy Development:
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize CI initiatives.
• Training and Development:
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees at all levels on CI tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Mentor and coach employees in the use of CI methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Performance Measurement:
  • Design and implement metrics and KPIs to monitor and measure the effectiveness of CI initiatives.
  • Report on progress, outcomes, and return on investment (ROI) to stakeholders.
• Change Management:
  • Lead change management efforts by engaging and influencing stakeholders, fostering buy-in, and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Develop communication plans to ensure alignment and understanding of process changes.
     
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with various departments (e.g., Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, IT) to drive CI projects and initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and meetings to identify and solve process challenges.
• Best Practices Development:
  • Research and benchmark industry standards and best practices in continuous improvement.
  • Develop, document, and maintain CI standards, procedures, and methodologies.

As a Business Development Manager at QIMA, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Client Portfolio Management: Develop and manage your own client portfolio, typically consisting of companies involved in the import and export of consumer goods globally.
• Prospect Acquisition: Utilize various methods such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and participating in fairs and exhibitions to identify and acquire new clients, mainly focusing on Hong Kong & other Far East countries sourcing offices & overseas clients.
• Client Relationship: Nurture prospective clients, maintain consistent and open communication, and successfully close deals.
• Upselling Services: Promote additional services to existing clients to ensure they leverage the solutions provided by QIMA optimally.
• Collaboration: Work in synergy with the Operations and Marketing Teams to drive large-scale projects and increase market awareness.
• Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, establish competitive advantages, and monitor metrics to ensure effective use of analytics in achieving ambitious sales targets.

Your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

• Leads and oversees the group monthly close and global consolidation of actuals, ensuring complete and accurate financial in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). 
• Manages and reviews close activities including journal entries and account reconciliation. 
• Leads and reviews monthly consolidation and financial reporting, including investigation and clearing of intercompany balances, closing and consolidation errors. 
• Overall accountable in the compilation of the consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows and other executive reporting requirements.
• Responsible in the review, analysis and presentation of the Group Cashflow and Working Capital to the CFO and the submission of the corresponding BOD slides.
• Leads the submission of the Financials required in the Group Audit and the compilation of all the audit requirements associated with the FS.
• Works with cross functional teams in addressing challenges, issues, and risks in the closing process to ensure timely and accurate books closing.
• Leads the debrief meeting to discuss closing issues with respective teams with the objective of keeping the best practices and improving on and addressing the gaps.
• Overall accountable in the tracking and monitoring of the GL and Consolidation KPIs and the presentation to the Group Finance Director and CFO
• Provides guidance to all subsidiaries to ensure consistency in consolidated financial reporting and applications. 
• Leads the balance sheet justification to ensure accurate and complete representation of the financial position of the company’s consolidated balance sheet. 
• Drives process improvements and assists with system transformation projects.

You will be expected to:

• Oversee the day-to-day AP Operations activities.
• Manage the daily workload of the whole team.
• Supervise, direct, and review the work of the account payable staff, maintain the general ledgers and sub ledgers.
• Ensure agreed SLA & KPI are met.
• 2nd level of escalation for issues & concerns from all stakeholders.
• Prepare Qualitative AP Reports as needed.
• Perform operational review on a monthly basis
• Perform Performance Management.
• Support ad hoc requests/projects.
• Support all internal and external examiner/audit requests pertaining to Accounts Payable.
• Actively identify areas for improvements to raise effectiveness and efficiency.
• Creates a team environment of accountability and commitment.
• Administration of the AP staff leave, absences, Attendance & Overtime.

The Job                                                                     

The Project Management Leader will work closely with the Process Excellence Manager, undertaking a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of impactful initiatives and projects within the Finance department. This role demands hands-on management, leveraging expertise in both project management and change management.

• Create and execute project work plans by defining scope, resource allocation, key milestones, quality standards, risk assessment, and deliverables. Adapt plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements effectively.
• Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, internal and external resources, and providing regular project status updates.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
• Resolve and/or escalate issues promptly as needed.
• Set clear success metrics, effective follow-up measures, and diligently track progress.
• Support change initiatives and continuous improvements. Creating projects to deliver changes across global support finance.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Preparation and Presentation of consolidated financial statements 

• Prepare group consolidated financial statement and reports to internal and external stakeholders. 

• Understand financial statements and be able to explain to management any variances vs prior periods. 

• Coordinate with other finance functions in monthly closing process to ensure closing timeline is met.  

• Perform month end closing activities including but not limited to bank/cash reconciliation, timely and accurate processing of journal entries (Fixed Asset Depreciation, Intangible Asset Amortization, Prepayment Expense, Payroll entries and other adjustments and corrections as needed), Intercompany balances reconciliation. 

• Perform balance sheet reconciliation and analyses of balance sheet accounts. 

• Ensure accounting transactions comply with international standards. Give advice on best practice of accounting for complex transactions. 

Managing annual audit process 

• Liaise with external auditors and assist in annual audit process for the Group and for key subsidiaries in Asia, ensure that audits are completed in timely and satisfactory manner. 

Managing changes and improvements to internal finance processes 

• Be involved in finance process and system improvement projects, representing general ledger function and giving support including but not limited to cleaning up data for system upload, balance re-classifications or corrections, user acceptance testing. 

Managing Team 

• Manage a team of 6 General Ledger accountants. 

• Define KPIs for each finance function to monitor productivity, efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
