Primary Responsibilities 

In-charge of performing analyses and reporting test results according to the Integrated Management System policies and procedures. 

Specific Responsibilities  

Performs sampling, testing and analyses in accordance with the procedures. 

Performs standardization and prepares reagents and solutions.  

Prepares and updates reports related to the analyses performed.  

Operates and maintains equipment used in performing analyses.

Signs worksheets and job instructions.

Ensures that work performed is in accordance with the SGS policies and procedures, Integrated Management System and other standards to which SGS subscribes, and SGS OI Policies. 

Operates to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity. 

Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in contribution to departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior. 

Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to:

Demonstrates strong obligation to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating in meetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE 

Perform appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace 

Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements

Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements 

Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior 

Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization’s 5S program and guidelines 

Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators 

Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management 

Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System 

Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations 

Perform day to day tasks within the Procure to Pay (P2P) stream such as daily invoice processing (PO and Non-PO), expense reports audit, as well as support month-end closing activities.
The performance should meet the requirements defined in the SLA/KPI’s.

 Timely and accurate review, validation, and processing of incoming invoices (e.g., PO, Non-PO, credit card statements) to accounting system.
 Ensure that invoices are properly coded and booked in accordance to SGS Chart of Accounts.
 Verify that the invoices comply with SGS policies and procedures.
 Audit travel and expense liquidation in accordance with existing rules and regulations.
 Process prepayments and follow up on prepaid invoices.
 Handle supplier statements and vendor inquiries.
 Provide support and assistance to colleagues with respect to accounting information
 Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding outstanding P2P inquiries (e.g. invoices, payments, travel, and expenses audit responses).
 Follow up on match exceptions and coordinate with Business and Procurement for the resolution.
 Work closely with R2R team in ensuring that no AP transactions are outstanding in the bank reconciliation.
 Follow up on transactions on the long-outstanding items in the Accounts Payables Trial Balance (Ageing)
 Follow up on open Purchase Orders and invoices on hold
 Prepare and review accruals and any other month end P2P transactions
 Assist in AP Subledger close and other month end activities
 Ensure monthly checklists are completed signed off by P2P Specialist/P2P Supervisor.

• Performs preparation of reagents and test solutions and standardization of volumetric solutions in accordance with the standard test methods. 

• Participates in various proficiency / correlation programs. 

• Operates and maintains equipment used in performing analyses. 

• Reads, understands, and follows proper standard operating procedures 

• Analyzes and interprets standard laboratory test results including statistical quality control charts and uncertainty of measurements 

• Prepares and updates reports related to the analyses performed including statistical quality control charts and uncertainty of measurements for routine tests.

• Maintains routine documentation, including worksheets, log sheet entries, sample documentations, etc. Records data precisely and accurately.
