Primary Responsibilities     

This role involves sample registration into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) based on clients’ requests, prepares customer invoices and statements, distribute to clients’ accounts payable contacts.

Specific Responsibilities     

• Registers samples onto LIMS based on client’s request and/or Sample Submission Form (SSF) to create work orders accurately.
• Communicates any discrepancies or other issues relating to the SSF or other aspects of the clients requests to supervisor or appropriate Canadian resource for resolution
• Applies correct QC protocols to each work order to ensure it meets QP21 guidelines and clients requirements. Liaises with relevant QC chemists and Canadian management when requirements are unclear.
• Generates Acknowledgement for Work Order and distributes to clients.
• Links appropriate price list and sales quotations to work orders.
• Ensures clients test requests and invoicing instructions are followed to help improve efficiency for production.
• Generates customer invoices and statements, and distributes to clients’ accounts payable contacts
• Follows up with clients regarding payment.
• Accountable for accurate and timely data input.
• Maintains and prepares reports from manual or electronic files, inventories, mailing lists and databases.
• Follow all company health, safety and environmental policies.
• May be assigned and coordinate special or ad hoc projects as needed.

Primary

• Responsible for performing analysis or qualitative detection as defined in the Fuel Marking Procedures.

• Performs fuel marking when required or needed.

Specific

• Perform acknowledgement to customer’s job or work orders upon receipt
•  In-charge of sample receipt, sample registration, sample details registration in the Analyzer Application in a proper and correct manner, and sample storage, retention, and disposal of test samples. 
• Perform sample preparation and analyses involving good housekeeping.
• Prepares reagents/solutions and performs standardization/verification in accordance with standard and validated non-standard test methods/procedures.
•  Prepares job file folder and ensure completeness of the test report sheets, data sheets, worksheets, and other pertinent documents.
•  Prepares draft & final test report, data sheets, worksheets, and other required forms. 
• Checks and signs data sheet, worksheets, draft reports, test reports, job instructions/work order, certificates of analysis.
• Ensures correct and accurate reporting of test results and ensure timely transmittal of test reports/certificates.
• Participates in correlation program or proficiency testing program of the laboratory.
• Operates, verify, monitor, and maintain the equipment and related equipment being used for analysis.
• Ensures that all equipment being used in the laboratory are within its calibration/verification period and in good working condition.
• Monitor and ensure enough supply of laboratory, glassware, chemicals, certified reference materials, equipment accessories, consumables, forms/documents & other laboratory needs/supplies for smooth field and QC testing operation

Primary Responsibilities
•Troubleshoots and corrects daily disruptions to productivity.
•Ensures that the GBS Asia provides a high level of service to the Affiliate operations based on the Statement of Work.
•Manages the staff operations and administration for the GBS program, including optimizing shift schedules, according to Affiliate needs.
•Proactively manages performance, throughput, utilization, and quality via established KPIs, alerting program leaders of deficiencies in a timely manner.
•Main GBS Asia point of contact for Affiliates regarding all operational issues.

Specific Responsibilities
▪At all times, complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
▪Manages the process for and participates in the recruitment of the new GBS staff on behalf of Lab Affiliates with operations housed in GBS Asia facilities.
▪Ensures that the working conditions are provided and maintained, including office space, computers, desks, etc. Troubleshoot and initiate corrective and/or improvement actions as needed to ensure local operations integrity is maintained.
▪Maintains a working knowledge of all analytical procedures in the lab sections being supported by the team.
▪Organizes, manages and perhaps participates in staff training requirements, opportunities and schedules in coordination with Lab Affiliates.
▪Manages staff schedules, including shift schedules, attendance and time off requests in coordination with Lab Affiliates managers.
▪Supports all GBS Technical Coordinators in their management of daily work assignments and delivery performance.

Supports Lab Affiliates with annual performance reviews of GBS lab staff housed under GBS Asia, especially access to or entry into the local TalentForce system.

▪Ensures that systems in place to compile, monitor and report KPIs as outlined in the Statement of Work are properly accessed, functioning and updated.
▪Assists in the implementation of specific operational improvements as identified by the Lab Affiliate manager. These projects will focus on the improvement of quality, efficiency, accreditation compliance, communication and technical improvement.
▪Looks for local GBS efficiency gains by being aware of new tools and reviewing existing procedures.
▪Participates in regular calls with the Global Process Owners (GPOs) and Lab Affiliate managers in order to discuss operational issues, plans, etc.
▪Represents the Lab Support program internally within GBS Asia and the global business lines.
▪Facilitates and hosts visitors from SGS Global and Lab Affiliates as needed.
▪Reviews and provides any corrections to monthly expense reports to the Lab Affiliates using the services of GBS Asia
▪Ensures all GBS operations are fully coordinated and compliant with the GBS Lab Support Program Manager.
▪Ensures work area in GBS is kept clean and presentable at all times.
▪Remains familiar with SGS quality assurance procedures.
▪Complies to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
