A Level Designer creates the game world and defines the moment-to-moment gameplay experiences with the game’s mechanics and systems. With a player-oriented mindset, you will take levels from concept to fully playable prototypes, and further work with other disciplines to deliver fully realized, narrative experiences to a AAA standard.

The main and routine tasks of the Level Designer are to:

• Conceptualize and prototype the layout of 3D game environments and player goals and activities
• Build 3D game worlds by placing interactive elements in the game world to create variety, distribution, and progression of player activity using iterative design methods
• Work with our Scriptwriters, Cinematic Designers, and realization teams to create original, memorable, and compelling narrative content for our games.
• Communicate designs to the team through presentations and documents
• Collaborate with Directors and Leads to bring on their high-level creative vision of our game worlds to life
• Collaborate with other game developers in other job disciplines such as Production, Engineering, Art, Lighting, Animation, Narrative, and others – adapting to technical constraints while bringing game environments from concept to shippable quality
• Contribute to the improvement of the overall game by providing feedback to the team and use their feedback to iterate on your designs.
• Stay up to date on current trends, best practices, and latest technologies in your field of expertise
• Share knowledge and mentor junior team member

The Technical Designer will create and implement complex technical and/or system design elements to assist in the creation of the game. Acting as a technical reference for team members, they will serve as a bridge between the tech and design teams and provide support whenever necessary.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement the technical elements of a game feature in with technical directors, programmers, and colleagues from other job families.
• Contribute to data optimization and validation by ensuring that colleagues comply with the technical standards and keep within budget constraints.
• Act as a technical expert on a specific topic and oversee tools and documentation, provide technical assistance, and define and promote best practices.
• Take part in advanced data debugging throughout production.
• Periodically provide feedback to design technical directors, including solutions to technical issues and suggestions to improve tools and methods, bugs, etc.
• Help test new features and tools before they are deployed to the rest of the team.
• Carry out production tasks supporting the game or level design and rapid prototype the gameplay features according to the design standards.
• Design and implement more complex, abstract, technically challenging, or game-wide design elements in the game.

The Cinematic Designer’s main task is to work with people across different disciplines to create in-game cutscenes. A Cinematic Designer is expected to be a multi-disciplinary individual capable of learning and adapting to different needs. Their focus is on storytelling, realization and delivering high-quality content in an efficient manner. 

The Cinematic Designer should have a basic understanding of composition, framing, and animation. They should also be familiar with using a game engine, as the job requires most of the work be done in one. Familiarity with video editing, animation software or in-engine cutscene creation tools is recommended. They should also have good communication and teamwork skills as Cinematic Designers are expected to communicate with other job disciplines frequently.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

• Create in-game cutscenes using proprietary tools. 
• Analyze and assess scripts to highlight dependencies and risks. 
• Coordinate with Level and Quest Designers to stage cutscenes in the world. 
• Work with Lighting, Audio, and VFX Artists on realization of the content.

• Communicate designs to the team through presentations and documents 
• Build 3D game worlds by placing interactive elements in the game world to create variety, distribution, and progression of player activity using iterative design methods 
• Collaborate with Directors and Leads to bring their high-level creative vision of our game worlds to life 
• Collaborate with other game developers in other job disciplines – adapting to technical constraints while bringing game environments from concept to shippable quality

As a Junior Voice Designer, you will be responsible for assisting the Audio team in dialogue production, from recording of dialogue lines to implementing them into the game.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Works closely with the audio team in all voice design related aspects laid out by the Senior Voice Designer.
• Implement narrative and systemic dialogue for the game
• Edit, master and deliver voice assets according to loudness specifications
• Manage dialogue data in the dialogue database
• Work with game designers, programmers, writers etc. on dialogue prototypes
• Respect budget and performance constraints when carrying out assignments
• Verify the quality of dialogue integrated into game and assist with debugging
• Maintain dialogue documentation
