Lead and oversee Manufacturing Engineering initiatives focused on leveraging Engineering Principles and Techniques in Magnetic Recording to drive excellence in New Technology Ramp-up, Process Optimization, Equipment Development, Failure Analysis and Project Management within the Machining, Slicing and Grinding Processes of Slider Fabrication

Technical Competency:

• Magnetic Recording Production: Expert understanding of the unique aspects of magnetic head backend production including related processes and equipment with in-depth knowledge of machining, slicing and grinding process
• Technology and Process Development: Lead the ramp-up of new technologies, drive process optimization, and implement innovative solutions to enhance production capabilities.
• Fixture and Equipment Development:  Proficiency in developing and designing/re-designing fixtures and equipment to drive quality, performance, and operation efficiency.
• Failure Analysis and Corrective Actions: Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis of failures, develop corrective action plans, and ensure long-term resolution to prevent recurrence.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives.
• Background on mechanical design & modeling with deep knowledge on tools used to create and analyze mechanical systems like AutoCAD & SolidWorks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for collecting, processing, and integrating data from various sources.
• Ensure that data is accurately and efficiently transferred and transformed between systems.
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations.
• Use statistical, machine learning, or deep learning techniques to analyze and model data, identify trends, patterns, and relationships, and provide applicable solutions.
• Develop predictive models using machine learning algorithms to forecast trends and future outcomes. Then, deploy these models and systems, and monitor and maintain them to ensure they are working effectively.
• Document data workflows, processes, and technical specifications.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve data engineering practices.

As a Facilities Engineer III, you will manage the entire electrical system operation of the plant, drive operational efficiency improvements, and implement sustainable cost reduction initiatives. You will also be responsible for overseeing the electrical systems and infrastructure within the organization, including the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all electrical systems are well maintained to the highest standards, adhering to safety protocols, and complying with relevant regulations. In addition, you will manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. CAPEX and OPEX management, including asset management, will also be part of your responsibilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Oversee the maintenance, repair and upgrading of all electrical systems, including power distribution, Genset operation, fire detection and alarm system, PA system, lighting and emergency power system
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures
• Develop and implement energy-saving initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance to all Philippine Electrical Codes and Regulations
• Lead and manage construction projects, including new builds, re-layout and renovation and facility upgrades
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules and budget
• Oversee the bidding process for construction projects, selecting and managing contractors and suppliers
• Monitor project progress, ensuring that timelines, budgets and quality standards are met
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure that all facilities-related activities adhere to safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and other relevant guidelines
• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential hazards
• Work closely with colleagues within facilities department including other departments to understand their facilities needs and develop solutions that align with organizational goals and KPI's
• Communicate project updates, challenges and success to management and other stakeholders
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical systems, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, as-built drawings (CAD) and upgrade histories.
• Prepare regular reports and updates on the status of construction project, including financial reports like CAPEX, OPEX and Assets Inventory
• Manage Department IMS and Playbook
• Ensure that all documents is complete, accurate and accessible for future reference
