We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our engineering team at Buhay. This cross-border opportunity will involve collaborating with teams in both India and the Philippines, working on real-world fintech solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, coding, testing, and deploying scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve existing products and features.
- Work with stakeholders across India and the Philippines to ensure seamless product development.
- Participate in code reviews, debug issues, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Support integration of third-party APIs and internal tools.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and stand-ups.
- Maintain documentation for software changes and processes.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and propose improvements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Proficiency in one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go).
- Familiarity with web development frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js, or Django).
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Experience with version control (Git).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a cross-cultural, distributed team.
