THE ROLE

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take charge of ensuring that the group's payables are processed both promptly and accurately. In this vital role, you will oversee the complete accounts payable function, implement strong procedures that align with industry best practices, and guarantee that all payments are executed efficiently while adhering to company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Apply operational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure all invoices are processed accurately and on time & to the correct entities
• Review and verify the accuracy of invoices, and other payment requests and ensure correct allocation per accounting codes and departments
• Manage internal approval systems for invoices using our internal approval system Approval Max.
• Manage the payment review meetings 
• Prepare payment batches and schedule pay runs as required to meet determined payment terms
• Perform reconciliations including supplier statement reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and month-end AP reconciliations by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Attend to Accounts Payable & Payroll queries promptly and professionally, escalating any unknown issues appropriately
• Prepare end-of-month accruals and prepayment journals for financial accountants
• Update and maintain vendor database promptly and identify improvements to the accounts payable process
• Adhere to departmental confidentiality
• Complete cash flow reporting and other ad hoc tasks as required

The Accounts Payable Specialist will review, properly account for, and appropriately arrange for payment of the company’s various invoices and other operating financial obligations, in addition to researching APrelated issues and participating in special projects in a fast-paced environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain AP vendor files

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE

As an Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable process and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances for our clients across multiple brands. Your role is crucial in maintaining positive relationships with customers and optimizing the collections workflow to reduce delinquency rates. Additionally, you will serve as the main point of contact for legal firms engaged with the company for escalated accounts.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Collect on Client Invoices: Lead efforts to collect payments for monthly invoices, deposits, contract payments, etc., from clients and other affiliated brands. Ensure that outstanding balances are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Past Due Invoice Collection: Communicate with clients to collect past due invoices, using effective negotiation and communication skills to facilitate timely payments.
• Delinquency Reporting: Gather and report on past-due invoice ratios. Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for reducing delinquency rates across all brands.
• Professional Communication: Maintain a professional and clear tone of voice when discussing confidential matters, such as payment and check information, while serving as the voice of the company.
• Coordinate with Other Teams: Collaborate with Feather Enterprise and Fernish B2B teams to collect payments for invoices processed outside of Feather's payment processor (Stripe).
• Team Development: Train, onboard, and develop new and existing team members to ensure a high level of service in the accounts receivable process.
• Escalation Handling: Address escalations from Customer Experience, Finance, and Sales Operations for disgruntled clients, working towards amicable resolutions.
• Delinquency Analysis: Analyze and report the delinquency rate of each brand, providing insights to leadership for strategic planning to improve collection efforts.

• Work under guidance of Assistant Accountant on specific books of unapplied cash. 
• Conduct input / research work against specific unapplied cash values, using NetSuite accounting system and establish if the cash value is listed on the universal daily deposit spreadsheet.

Ultimately determine if the client submitting the remittance needs to be contacted for more information.  
• Understand and resolve unapplied payment through audit, research and backtracking.
