As a Data/QA Engineer in our Enterprise Data department, you will be responsible for creating and managing automated tests to identify issues with the ETL process to ensure the quality of data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

The role involves working together with the onshore Enterprise Data team to decide on the required tests on the process, automate them through creating stored procedures, custom dbt tests and scheduling these as part of the ETL process which loads data from source into the EDW.

Duties

• Providing remote and phone based support to customers of our US-based partner MSP
• Supporting servers, desktops and applications within an Microsoft AD and Exchange environment
• Delivering the support of Terminal Services, VMware, Hyper-V and Citrix-based cloud infrastructure
• Performing a wide variety of Level 1-3 support functions across many technologies
• Occasional project team work to deploy solutions for customers

• Extensive experience working with VMWare & Hyper-V is REQUIRED
• A general knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall, including LAN & WAN networking principles (Fortigate, Meraki, Sophos UTM preferred)
• Experience using ticketing systems and customer service principles
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English (Mandatory)

The Senior Systems Engineer will be part of a remote team responsible for building and maintaining Arch's IT infrastructure as we move from private data centers to the hybrid cloud.  The workload will primarily be initiative based with some operational tasks.  The engineer will report to the Agile Delivery Manager (ADM) and work in two-week sprints related to multiple initiatives.  The position is home-based and reports to the Raleigh, NC office on occasion.
