You will be responsible for the correct localization of video game content and other associated text into from English into Filipino. You will work following product specific guidelines to ensure the maximum linguist quality and adherence to all relevant conventions. You will be working as part of a team to produce high quality translations, either translating yourself or reviewing.

As a member of the Translation Team you will report into the Project Management team and must work closely with internal and external translators. As a Translator you have no direct reports.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Creates or helps create glossaries and style guides following pre-defined guidelines from the client.
• Creates or helps create characterization documents
• Carries out translation work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology.
• Carries out revision work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology.
• All work is carried out meeting the outlined deadlines and industry standard productivity figures.
• Provides linguistic feedback for work carried out externally.
• Works as part of a larger team of translators or revisers.

1. Must have at least one to experience in translation industry - English to Filipino (video games specific experience welcome) or proven use of FILIPINO language in a professional environment.
2. Excellent knowledge of business software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office)
3. Ideally knowledge of MemoQ
4. Ideally with experience working with TMS software (Plunet/XTRF)
5. Clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
6. Demonstrates proactivity
7. Good organization and problem-solving skills
8. Keeps a “can do” attitude and positive thinking

Qualifications

Translation or language-related BA studies or equivalent preferred e.g Bachelor of Arts in Filipino (AB FIL)

• Serves as the primary contact for customer issues via email and inbound telephonic support in Spanish and English
• Troubleshoots customer problems, identifies the root cause of the problem and uses tools and resources appropriately to determine a resolution
• Meets standards of job, such as quality standards, adherence to schedule and average handle time
• May provide guidance and/or mentoring to less experienced associates
• Other related duties assigned as needed

What you bring

• 1 year or more experience working in a Spanish Campaign in a Call Center
• Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both English and French REQUIRED
• Computer navigation and operations skills
• Ability to work both independently, as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and to be open to feedback
