Job Description

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as Data Engineer with at least 3 Years professional work experience
2. Strong proficiency in at least one SQL Development (Oracle, MS SQL, or similar technologies) and ETL Development Tools (Informatica, Talend or similar technologies)
3. Knowledge in Shell Scripting, Hadoop Platform, Big Data
4. Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
   

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with Data Modeling and Design
2. Familiarity with Python/R and AWS Service (Redshift)
3. Willing to work FULLY ONSITE (Ortigas)

The Role

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Post Feature Delivery Test Support Engineer who is committed to their work, and should be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment. The role will be responsible for providing excellent technical support and test support as part of our Level 2 support. The role reports to the Post Feature Delivery Lead and is based in Philippines.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Support customers during online test sessions and offline ticket support

• Coordinate with support and development teams to resolve application and system issues

• Design and maintain expertise in flow of application process and systems related to company

• Administer and resolve applications issues, provide updates and perform root cause analysis

• Maintain good professional relationships with counterparts of engineering and customer support departments

• Organize and implement projects ranging from small to medium size and provide assistance to all processes under guidance of Software Engineers

• Perform root cause assessment and debug all issues on server domain, and availability of applications

• Coordinate with UAT department to assist in releases and deployments to various environments and production outputs

• Provide support and identify all issues and prepare appropriate documentation all issues and solutions.

• Recommend ways to optimize performance and provide solution to problems and prepare reports for all problems.

• Identify and provide resolutions ranging in complexity from medium to high.

The Person

Essential Experience and Qualifications

• Knowledge in supporting customers in test phase and/or test experience

• Knowledge and experience of administering or using Microsoft IIS

• Knowledge of Database technologies (Microsoft SQL Server) and working fluency in SQL

• Ability to diagnose & address application issues

• Working Knowledge of IT Hardware and Software

• Ability to learn and master employer-specific software

• Complex problem solving

• Written and verbal communication skills

• Customer Focused with excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills

• Demonstrable ability to learn technical information, processes and applications quickly

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask and work effectively within a fast-growing organization

• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and take a proactive approach to problem solving

Desired Experience and Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure)

• Experience using tools like Postman to create and save simple and complex HTTP/s requests.

• A degree level qualification in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Software Engineering

• Basic knowledge of programming concepts, preferable C#

• Experience in building effective relationships with development teams and clients

What you will be doing:

• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)

• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.

• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.

What you will bring:

• Must Have: Experience in Java Front-End Development plus capable of doing Incident Management.

• Must be amenable to work on shifting schedules, including on-call assignments

• Must be amenable to work on a Hybrid setup. Office location is at Ecoplaza Bldg., Magallanes, Makati (located near Magallanes, MRT Station, EDSA)

• Knowledge of FIS products and services; in-depth knowledge of products and services in assigned line(s) of business

• Knowledge of financial services industry

• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, e.g., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development

• Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry , e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma

• Knowledge of banking practices, regulations and operations within assigned line(s) of business

• In-depth understanding of design patterns and their application

• Fluency in developing and understanding sequence diagrams, class models, etc.

• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
