OVERVIEW:

The Finance Manager is mainly responsible for ensuring effective accounting procedures and for providing accurate financial information of all company transactions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•     Oversee the day to day accounting functions
•     Ensure monthly closing of financial accounts
•     Timely submission of Financial Report to HQ
•     Cash flow management
•     Implementation of policies laid down by HQ
•     Assist in system implementation/changes
•     Handle local tax matters
•     Handles external Audit matters
•     Other tasks that may be given from time to time

We are looking for a highly driven and motivated Manager, Finance Controlling (Q-Commerce) to join our fast-growing team. The Finance Controlling Manager is based in Manila and will report to the Regional Finance Controlling Lead.

The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience, with substantial hands-on experience in accounting and controlling. You possess strong knowledge of IFRS reporting and SAP systems. You must be a strong team player and be comfortable in supporting Local and Regional teams.

Responsibilities:

•  Responsible for review of monthly actual financial results, including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement in accordance with IFRS and Group Reporting policies.
• Work closely with the country finance team, provide in-depth analysis of monthly financial results against budget, and forecast, and meaningful insights to the senior management team at the regional headquarters and making recommendations for improvements to financial processes.
• Collaborate with Regional Accounting, Controlling and Central teams to align on accounting, cost, and revenue treatments to ensure compliance with IFRS reporting and Group Financial Reporting Policies.
• Work closely with local finance teams and provide additional support to ensure that month-end closing tasks are completed in a timely manner and Group submission timelines are met consistently.
• Provide guidance to local finance teams to ensure that all reconciliation items are investigated and cleared up prompt.
• Responsible for tax and statutory compliance and audit preparation.
• Prepare and assist in annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and business projections.
• Drive assigned ad-hoc projects that have the potential to enhance the internal controls to ensure reliability, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Support overall goals and objectives of Regional Accounting and Controlling. Assist in ad-hoc projects, systems implementation, and continually automate/streamline processes to improve business efficiency in the region.
• Assist local stakeholders on group accounting policies, audit, tax, and other statutory requirements if necessary.

• Finance Business Partner for APAC Emerging Markets supporting Regional FP&A Leads and Local Management Teams in Management Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting, and Financial Analysis.
• Deliver various financial reports and variance analyses (i.e. month-end closing, weekly market estimates, quarterly reforecasts and annual budgets).
• Compile and present financial data to evaluate business performance and provide informed recommendations.
• Drive the Business to meet target KPIs by providing proactive insights to highlight risks and opportunities for improvement to support decision making (e.g. pricing)
• Liaise with Controlling Team to identify and streamline accounting-related concerns
