About the position

You will be assisting a portfolio of clients around the world with financial modeling, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, scenario planning, variance analysis and more.

You will help with market research and trend analysis to give our clients ideas on how to improve their operations, financial structure and operating results.

You will build 3-statement financial models from the ground up, then run and adjust them every month according to client’s actual results.

You will be working in a wide range of tech/software platforms including Shopify, Quickbooks Online, Xero, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Glew.io, Amazon Seller/Vendor, Rippling, Gusto and more.

Time Zone

• You will work in Vancouver, Canada or Toronto, Canada time zone

Financial Modelling

We build forecasts that are realistic, robust and useful for decision-making.

• Build 3-statement, dynamic financial models
• Every month (minimum) adjust the models and communicate potential issues to clients, CFOs, etc.
• Collect data on scenarios to analyze in the model
• Perform market research to make the models even more realistic

Financial Reporting

We look backward so we can look forward to manage cashflow and mitigate risk.

• Monthly financial reporting package with analysis and commentary

What you must have

• Analyses and verifies the accuracy of the overall financial data before any closing period.
• Coordinates with other departments to facilitate the timely completion of financial statements.
• Detects any discrepancy, materiality of transaction or irregularity in a process, and recommends adjusting entries or takes necessary action within their area of authority
• Oversees the proper accounting of all financial transactions. Enforces existing policies and procedures in all financial transactions.
• Investigates discrepancies and coordinates with all concerned stakeholders to resolve the issue.
• Reviews accuracy and completeness of billing and payments and provides instructions for correction.

•    Engages in consultations and negotiations with government agencies and local communities to resolve permitting and compliance matters.
•    Conducts periodic compliance audits and assessments to identify potential gaps or areas for improvement and implements corrective actions.
•    Keeps abreast of changes in mining regulations and policies in the Philippines and advises senior management on potential impacts and compliance strategies.
•    Conducts stakeholder mapping according to OGP standards and recommend appropriate engagement strategies
•    Repairs any damaged or difficult relationships externally in order to maximize OGP’s influence and credibility 
•    Proactively identifies opportunities to use stakeholder engagement to deliver strategic benefit
•    Engages effectively on complex issues with hostile stakeholders 
•    Proactively identifies and resolves tenement-related issues, such as land access, indigenous rights, and stakeholder engagement.
•    Oversees the implementation of exploration plans, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and recommending adjustments when necessary.
•    Conducts regular audits and reviews of exploration tenements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards
•    Monitors costs for tenement management
•    Drafts contracts aligned with templates.
•    Prepares reports and oversees logistical requirements
•    Performs other tasks as may be directed by the Manager of the General Manager - EASP.

• Communicate and drive the adoption and alignment of standards, policies and procedures across the project.
• Oversee the implementation of new technology and systems.
• Run workshops and training sessions.
• Explore different solutions, their risks, benefits and impacts.
• Proposing solutions to an organization's leaders and keeping them updated with progress.
• Creating documents to outline the proposed changes and the steps involved.
• Ensuring the changes are made – for example, by overseeing the implementation of new technology or a new approach.

Salary: P80,000 – P100,000 (Monthly Package)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

• Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and QuickBooks online
• Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
• Excellent math skills with an attention to detail
