Summary Description

Responsible for all accounting-related activities, including managerial accounting, high level accounting and finance activities of the company. Ensures the company follows all reporting guidelines and procedures as well as tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Finance:

• Responsible for official correspondences with the tax authorities and regulatory agencies in matters of tax compliance and registrations/accreditations of the Company.

Tax Planning and Support/Risk Management:

• Conduct research and study on tax minimization and tax efficiency initiatives and management of any tax exposure of the company.
• Provides tax update, advisories and tax trainings for the employees.

Compliance:

• Review company internal controls, specifically the Financial Process Control Documentation.
• Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and in being the role model of integrity and pride for all employees.
• Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
• Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and trainings.

Our goal is to reduce the noise in our business, creating efficient and low touch finance and accounting processes that streamline what we do and how our business grows. You will work closely with the Finance team and play a crucial role in providing accurate financial information, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic decision-making.

What you would be doing:

You will be involved in some, if not all, of the following tasks:

• Accounts Payable for our Philippines operations
• Financial Accounting for our Philippines operations
• Taxation compliance work
• Philippines payroll, with potential for involvement in Australian payroll
• Ensuring the quality of our data and process so that we comply with Philippine law
• Other finance and accounting tasks as required by our Head of Finance or our Finance Manager

To be successful, we are looking for someone with many of the following skills and experience:

• Certified Public Accountant with global experience will be important
• At least 5+ years previous experience working in a similar role
• Have an understanding and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• High level of financial accounting and analytical skills
• Strong personality with the confidence and ability to speak out
• Great spoken and written English skills
• Willing to work on AU shift

• There is a high likelihood that in this role you will also be involved in our Australian operations, so experience with Australian accounting and taxation law would be valued
