What will you do?
As a Team Leader, you are accountable for a small to medium Application support team and your impact will be seen in these key areas:
1.Ā Ā Ā Persistent Delivery: Leading the team in the effective and efficient adoption of the persistent solution delivery model to provide maximum value to the organization.
2.Ā Ā Ā Business Engagement: Actively engaging with internal stakeholders to influence outcomes, promoting IT AGSS services and effectively managing business expectations with SLAs and KPIs.
3.Ā Ā Ā Operational Excellence: Driving a culture of continual service improvement in the team, keeping performance and processes in line with strategy and adapting service delivery methods to meet evolving business needs.
4.Ā Ā Ā People Management: Continuously uplifting capability and creating a high performing team operating within an innovative and collaborative culture and in alignment with Aurecon Ethos.
Your impact will be seen by:
Operations / Delivery Management
- Leading product squad/s in the engineering and delivery of IT solutions using various enterprise, design and engineering applications.
- Having a deep understanding of the business processes enabled by the applications/service in scope.
- Managing resources capability, capacity and workflow to optimise value for business.
- Complying with standards and processes for software engineering and support.
- Ensuring service performance, availability, and capacity, underpinned by appropriate planning that meets the current and forecasted needs of the business.
- Ensuring that service interruptions are timely detected, documented and resolved, with appropriate root cause analysis and plan to avoid recurrence.
- Managing external support providers to meet established SLAs.
- Providing operational reporting and insights for continuous service improvement.
- Removing inefficiencies and anticipating hurdles.
- Establishing flexibility and adaptability in operations to fulfil real-time business requirements.
Product Management
- Ensuring application is properly managed and fit for purpose.
- Working with stakeholders to streamline business processes and address business problems through application solutions.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborating closely with business stakeholders for delivery of services.
- Facilitating effective communication between stakeholders and the team.
People Management
- Developing and leading a high performing team operating in an innovative and collaborative culture.
- Uplifting leadership capability and succession planning.
- Resolving performance-related matters in a timely manner.
Key challenges and complexities of role
- Works under broad direction and is often self-initiated.
- Is fully accountable for meeting allocated technical and supervisory objectives.
- Establishes milestones and strong ability to delegate responsibilities.
- Specific focus on:
- Leadership in optimizing velocity and backlog management.
- Management of competing priorities and escalations
- Resource capacity and capability planning
- Individual development and succession planning
- Maintains a high level of customer service measured through benchmarked customer satisfaction.
- Ensures a highly engaged and motivated team.
- Demonstrates leadership and role model all Aurecon policies, procedures, values & behaviours
What can you bring to the team?
Firstly, strong sense of responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability to varying request. Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills. And as part of a new team, you will have the opportunity to shape this role and have input into how we evolve it over time to WOW our employees and make an even bigger impact on the world. You will also need the following:
- 4+ years experience in people management and service delivery management, in a team leader or project manager/supervisor capacity.
- Advanced experience in Agile methodology and IT Service Management (ITSM).
- With demonstrated experience as Scrum Master is desirable.
- Advanced experience in application management including development and support.
- Advanced experience in leading teams in a Global Shared Services set up is desirable.
- Application management experience (support, maintain, develop, and build).
