About the role

Job Description:

As a Sr. Backend Engineer, you will be a crucial part of our engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the back end components of our agri-tech platform and applications. The objectives being to lower financing and agri-inputs costs for farmers while stabilizing prices by developing the following:

1. AI based credit score system based on farmer transactional data
2. AI based price forecasting system based on supply and demand data at the trading posts and other sources
3. Agri-inputs online marketplace 
4. Fresh produce online marketplace
5. Fresh produce planting recommendation engine based on supply data to implement crop programming and minimize price  volatility.

You will work closely with our frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver industry leading and innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs using Node.js and Adonis.js.
• Database Management: Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to store and retrieve data
• efficiently.
• API Integration: Integrate third-party APIs and services into our applications to extend functionality.
• Scalability: Build and optimize backend systems to ensure scalability, performance, and responsiveness.

The Systems Engineer is a critical component of the Arista Sales team. The main responsibility of the Systems Engineer is acting as a trusted advisor to our customers and prospects to identify opportunities, gather requirements and design creative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• You will partner with the Arista Account Managers to understand customer pain points and conduct white board network architectural reviews in addition to conducting Arista product presentations of Arista’s Open Networking Data Center and Cognitive Campus (including Wifi) networking solutions, CloudVision (Network Automation), Security (Network Detection), Endpoint Security and Real-time Fabric Monitoring solutions.
