Seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Coordinator - Community Relations (Exploration) for a Fixed Term employment of 1 year who will be working with the team for the implementation of the exploration activities within the required timeframe and approved budget. Also, work with the team to effectively and efficiently implement Community Engagement Plan, Community Development Program, and to obtain support and build strong relationships with local communities, Local Government Units (LGUs), and other relevant stakeholders. The role will report to the Supervisor – Community Relations (Exploration).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Assist in the community engagement to deliver plans and programs effectively, efficiently, and safely and in the conduct of immersion and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC)
• Prepare necessary materials/documents/things needed during community engagement
• In charge of documentation of activities, update day-to-day reports/records, and take minutes of meetings for record purposes and as basis for future meetings/engagement
• Maintain, monitor, and update data/records
• Process Community Development Fund billings and documentation
• Report any feedback or concern received from the community and or any stakeholders
• Work together with the other teams to deliver plans and programs effectively

• Share responsibility in providing direction and direct supervision to the Community Relations Exploration Team to ensure efficient planning, implementation and monitoring of plans and programs including the Community Development Program (CDP);
• Obtain and sustain community support for all OGP activities for the successful execution of the Exploration Work Program in the target areas;
• Conduct regular immersion, information, education, and communication (IEC) with stakeholders to update them on the exploration activities and other relevant information;
• Implement the complaints and grievance processes to manage and resolve issues and concerns;
• Conduct stakeholder dialogues and surveys to understand communities’ needs, perceptions, and attitudes and integrate them into the community engagement plan for continuous improvement and ensure all engagements are captured in the database;
• Conduct a consultative and participative planning process on social development programs that are outcome-based and address socio-economic issues, enhance physical and natural resources, and support local culture and traditions; and
• Develop partnerships with local communities, and government agencies and collaborate on programs, projects, and activities to contribute to sustainable development.

OceanaGold is seeking an experienced Community Relations and Development Office Manager to lead the External Affairs and Social Performance (EA&SP) function within the Didipio Mine site. To be successful in this role you will have experience forming long-term sustainable relationships with stakeholders such as government bodies, communities, NGOs, Indigenous Peoples including Didipio employees while contributing to the operational and social performance excellence.

This role will be a member of the site leadership team, reporting to the President and General Manager – External Affairs and Social Performance.

Some key tasks and responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate development of stakeholder engagement plans and strategies aligned with EA&SP standards.
• Develop and support teams to manage positive community relationships aligned with Didipio operations, this includes supporting and guiding team members and other functions on achieving enduring positive community relationships with all stakeholders.
• Ensures human rights are considered and respected in all activities undertaken by operations and exploration, including human rights due diligence, risk assessments, impact assessments, and development of appropriate management plans to ensure human rights are respected.
• Design, manage, or oversee any physical or economic resettlement activities required by operations or exploration.
• Manage and resolve complaints and grievances of all stakeholders, including management reporting and analysis of grievance management systems.
• Plan, manage and implement Corporate Social (CSR) projects including Social Development Management Program (SDMP), including budget and delivery in alignment with schedule and agreements.
• Develop and implement management approaches by partnering and collaborating with stakeholders
• Identify and implement improvements in external communications systems this includes aligning and implementing a strategy aligned with the Balanced Business Plan with the business area or department.
• Manage teams effectively and report on employee performance within the department or area of responsibility including setting and overseeing the achievement of performance objectives for direct reports.
• Implements cost-saving measures for the Department while achieving social performance outcomes and aligning in accordance with the plan and budget.
