Your Team 

Vendor Management optimizes expenditure with external vendors and maintains mutually fruitful relationships with our Third Parties. We help Avaloq select, contract, and manage vendors in a way that allows meeting business objectives and quality expectations, minimizing operational disruptions, and avoiding undesired risks, at a competitive price.

Your key tasks 

• Implement and operate vendor segmentation based on performance and risks
• Create meaningful and actionable reporting across the Third Party/vendor portfolio
• Continuously improve and automate segmentation and reporting processes
• Support implementation of ESG-management throughout the supply chain
   

This position reports to EHS Operation Team Leader (OTL).

Primary Responsibilities    

• Responsible for conducting environmental and Industrial hygiene, Health & Safety field sampling and monitoring as defined in the Matrix of Sampling Techniques and Analyses. He/she is also responsible for reporting field monitoring data according to the Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities   

• Assists the EHS Specialist II and CEMs Services Specialist in air, water/wastewater, soil/sediments and other environmental sampling operations and other field services defined in the Matrix of Sampling Techniques , and in accordance with SGS Policies and Procedures, and Safety Policies
• Performs standardization and preparation of reagents and solutions for use in sampling.
• Prepares and updates reports related to environmental sampling and analysis performed including statistical quality control charts
• Operates and maintains equipment for sampling and analysis
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
• Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to:
• Demonstrates strong obligation to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating in             meetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE
• Perform appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace
• Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements
• Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements
• Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior
• Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization’s 5S program and guidelines
• Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators
• Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management
• Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System
• Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations

Specific Responsibilities   

• Ensures job operational requirements are achieved

            A.1. DENR-Accredited Team Leader for Source Emission Testing

1. Leads and oversees field sampling processes
2. Properly assigns sampling activities to all members of the field sampling teams.
3. Ensure all FDS are properly and completely field up and submitted on time to his/her immediate superior for timely completion of service reports.                

           A.2. DENR-Accredited QA/QC for Source Emission Testing

1. Prepares and submits test plans for Source Emission Testing Jobs
2. Coordinates with the relevant regulatory bodies and ensures compliance to regulatory requirements related to field work.
3. Counterchecks field data sheets and reviews/evaluates generated air test results

• Ensures that all sampling field requirements are performed based on the approved sampling methods and requirements as defined in the Matrix of Sampling Techniques and based on the Work Plans
• Coordinate with the EHS lab the requirements for field sampling such as but not limited to the following:  Standard solutions, sampling media, tedlar bags, etc.
• Ensures that all sampling equipments are suitable, calibrated, maintained and fit for use.
• Conducts theoretical and on the job trainings for field sampling team members.
• Assists the CEMs Services Specialist in conducting RATA, RAA, RGA and other CEMs Services.
• Oversees outsourced environmental field services and performs water/soil/sediment sampling activities and other EHS field services.
• Signs field data sheets, laboratory worksheets, and receive and reviews samples as per service contract.
• DENR-Accredited QA/QC – signs Source Emission Test Report 
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
