The Key Accounts Manager for Large Farm is responsible for generating and cultivating an increasingly loyal customer base of farm feed and animal health products for Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation through active selling, technical training activities and establishing relationships with industry stakeholders, farm owners, and potential customers.

This role will also be the technical and sales resource person in subjects pertaining to the segment; is involved in gaining and sharing knowledge to the sales team, distributors and other entities. He/she will be in charge of the growing market share for all large farms within his/her specified scope of coverage.

JOB OBJECTIVE: 

The Farm Manager is responsible for supervising, directing and managing the operation of the breeder and nursery farms by creating and implementing systems to achieve the targeted production efficiency and cost of production.

The Farm Manager is responsible for ensuring high standards of animal welfare and adherence to biosecurity protocols. This role involves managing farm staff, budgeting, and maintaining facilities and equipment.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manages and oversees the swine production process and farm operations in order to achieve the targeted production performance.

2. Oversee breeding programs to ensure genetic quality and productivity.

3. Ensures appropriate Inventory management system is in place, correct inventory level is maintained and variances are within acceptable threshold.

4. Ensures appropriate data processing system is in place and accuracy of recorded data, information and reports generated is maintained.

5. Implement health protocols, monitor swine health, and administer vaccinations and treatments as needed.

6. Leads the swine production team and collaborates with other concerned teams to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the farm facilities.

7. Ensure all farming equipment is regularly inspected, maintained, and repaired.

8. Ensures that appropriate biosecurity protocols are in place, implemented and complied to and collaborates with concerned teams for the implementation of physical security.

9. Prepare and present reports on farm performance and productivity.

10. Monitors, evaluates and provides feedback on the performance of the third-party manpower provider to ensure it's within agreed service level commitment.

11. Prepares a sound budget proposal and implements approved budget, ensuring proper cost management.

12. Assess and address risk opportunities applicable to the farm and proportionate the impact to the organization.

13. Responds to farm-related community concerns by recommending and executing appropriate actions to address the concern.

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT:

1. Supervises, monitors and evaluates the performance of direct reports.

2. Builds IDP and provides intervention for the development and growth of direct reports

3. Performs other work-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

1. Ensuring that the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives are established for the Integrated Management System and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization;
