New Energy Nexus (www.newenergynexus.com) is an international not-for-profit organization that supports clean energy entrepreneurs with funds, business acceleration and access to networks. We started in California and have expanded operations into China, India, Uganda, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines.

New Energy Nexus launched its Philippines program in 2019. We support energy entrepreneurs to create new innovative energy startups that will help to build the nation’s clean energy economy.
About the Role
We are looking for a full-time Program Associate based in the Philippines. The position will support the New Energy Nexus Philippines program to ensure successful implementation of the energy startup programs and related activities including designing and implementing energy meetups, training and acceleration programs in collaboration with partner organizations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Program Design & Implementation
- Support in the planning, design and implementation of acceleration programs in supporting energy entrepreneurship in the Philippines.
- Organize events, workshops, trainings, boot-camps on various clean energy & innovation topics.
- Facilitate speakers and startups for in person and online workshops and bootcamps.
- Manage the engagement of startups in accelerator cohort and provide support needed to help enterprises to succeed.
- Manage database of key contacts, liaise with our network of energy professionals, mentors, partners and startups for their active engagement in the program.
- Research & identify relevant service providers for activities, including trainers, facilitators, business advisors, mentors etc.
Partnership Development and Fundraising Support
- Identify and research potential partners, including NGOs, government agencies, businesses, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with existing partners.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and events to network and build partnerships.
- Assist in developing fundraising strategies and proposals.
- Research and identify potential funding opportunities, grants, and donors.
- Help prepare grant applications and other fundraising materials.
- Collaborate with the team to organize fundraising events and campaigns.
The position will be full time and mostly virtual with occasional domestic travel for physical events.
Minimum Requirements:
- Passionate about energy startups, innovation and cleantech!
- Strong program & project management experience with complex projects involving multiple external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Entrepreneurial mindset & fast moving.
- Ability to work independently within a global team with various time zones.
- Professional fluency in Filipino and English is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional knowledge or experience in the clean energy sector.
- Experience in the startup community, including incubators, accelerators, investors and relevant service providers.
- Prior experience in partnership development and fundraising.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Highly resourceful person with the ability to come up with new ideas and concepts to design the program activities
