What are we looking for? 

Skills Required:  

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study. 
• 3-5 years of recognized bookkeeping or (CAS) Client Accounting Service. 
• QuickBooks Experience: Transactional accounting with QuickBooks experience, a minimum of 2 years of recent experience working within QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks desktop.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and adherence to relevant accounting standards.
• Work on multiple client accounts simultaneously, manage client expectations and interact with clients directly to get needed information.
• Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Ensure proper coding and classification of transactions.
• Monitor key financial metrics and provide variance analysis.
• Continuously evaluate and streamline accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for automation and implement best practices.
• Update management reporting schedules around key financial metrics.
•  Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals as needed.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.

The accountant ensures compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g. general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.) and performs the control/reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.).

The accountant contributes to properly kept and audited books of Avaloq’s Legal Entities and handles Accounts Receivable/Payable and/or Credit & Collections.

Your key tasks 

• The AR accountant has overall responsibility for handling the Group’s AR activities, including but not limited to; invoice generation, revenue recognition, AR reporting, close of AR ledger, compliance with Group’s policies and procedures.
• Evaluation and improvement of new and existing processes.
• Support the accounting team and deputize vacancies (PO process, dunning process, archiving process, etc.)

The Sr. Financial Accountant will be the key figure responsible for the financial operations of our client’s e-commerce businesses. This role requires expertise in managing the finances of similar 7-8-figure e-commerce companies and familiarity with e-commerce platforms and financial tools. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, and compliance with UK and USA financial regulations, and provide valuable insights through detailed financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform weekly bookkeeping duties.
• Prepare monthly management account reports, detailing metrics such as gross profit, net profit, MER, LTV, and New Vs Repeat Purchases.
• Conduct revenue forecasting per product line.
• Liaise with UK and USA accounts to ensure timely filing of all required documents.
• Perform monthly checks and balances to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Manage UK filing requirements, including confirmation statements, VAT, and end-of-year tax returns.
• Manage USA filing requirements, including state income and sales tax filings, and federal tax returns.
   

Purchase to Pay (60%)

• Post vendor bills and ensure proper charging to expense accounts and projects.
• Verify and approve expense reports and matching it with approved Purchase Requests.
• Processing approved AP invoices, credit cards, fund transfer and expense reports thru scheduled payments by EFT/ACH/wire and ensuring payments are accounted for and posted.
• Reconcile and monitor credit card transactions.
• Monitor Accounts Payable email inbox and handling of vendor inquiries.
• Clearing aged items from monthly AP reconciliations and resolving disputes.
• Perform JSOX controls related to the P2P process.

General Accounting & Other (40%)

• Billing – provide assistance to the Billing team on the creation of Credit Memos and sending out invoices to clients via portals or email, as needed.
• Sales taxes – ensure tax codes on sales transactions are properly setup and sales taxes are filed and paid in a timely manner.
• Treasury – keep track of Fx exposure by preparing monthly report and hedge exposure, as needed.
• Provide assistance on monthly financial closing and audits.
• Perform Blackline reconciliations.
• Support the Finance department in improving current processes.
• Support special projects as required.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Group Accountant, you will oversee the Accounting of selected subsidiaries of RepRisk, and you will support the consolidation and the bookkeeping of the group. Further, you will oversee and guide another team member whose responsibilities are accounts payable and expense management of the group.  

You are based in Manila, reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance and you will be working closely with the Senior Accountant, who are both based in Zurich, Switzerland. In general, your tasks include:  

• Overseeing accounting of RepRisk’s subsidiaries in Japan and the UK (others might follow)
