DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor payroll, receivables, payables, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and general ledger functions.
• Monitor and follow up on receivables that have been outstanding for an unusually long period of time.
• Produce monthly financial statements including balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and accumulative general ledger using a computer-based accounting system.
• Ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis.
• Prepare monthly closing general ledger entries.
• Review reconciliations to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow up on any unusual items.
• Performed bank reconciliation and prepare related journal entries.
• Actively participate in special projects as assigned or through an individual initiative that meets the needs of customers to enhance efficiency and streamline department processes and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Immediate Superior.

The role will be responsible for supporting end-to-end project accounting life cycle activities for assigned accounts and projects. The role will be involved with stakeholder coordination to execute processes that will drive the completion of assigned projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform moderately complex tasks that support multiple and varied projects in compliance with the contract, service level agreement, define methodologies, and procedures
• May need to provide guidance to junior members of the team
• Reviews project financials for accurate revenue recognition
• Perform in-depth project analysis and provide recommendations based on findings
• Support the Team Lead/Manager in handling escalations and managing disputes related to project financials
• Maintains and prepares SOP/DTP of current processes and the incorporate documentation updates
• Participate in audit-related activities and prepare audit responses
• May support junior members of the team in addressing routine issues within the assigned processes
• Propose alternatives in identified issues and assist in investigating and in resolving common and unusual issues
• Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to Team Lead and Manager 
• Has advanced knowledge of project accounting, providing support for the most complex and/or large scale project
• Makes recommendations for project improvement based on review of financial results and knowledge of project(s). 
• Researches general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and A/R cash adjustments.
• Works with customers or clients to gather and provide information
• May review contracts for additional service opportunities and assist in converting project proposal into project budget.

• Prepare calculations, filing, and remittance of all related taxes to ensure compliance with tax rules and regulations.
• Manage tax requirements on refund claims, Tax Treaty Relief Applications (TTRA)  and responding to letters/notices from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
• Provide advice and guidance on tax-related queries to help minimize risks or maximize tax-saving opportunities.
• Perform the balance sheet reconciliation for tax related accounts
• Assist in internal and statutory audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Oversee the renewal of business permits and other municipal tax requirements.
• Conduct tax update training sessions for relevant stakeholders.
• Provide support for the financial planning and forecasting of tax related disbursements
• Liaise with Corporate Secretary for the preparation and handling of legal documents
• Work closely with the Asia and International tax teams requiring PH assistance
• Preparing ad-hoc non-recurring report as and when required internally by management

• Responsible for the timely and accurate filing and payment of national taxes (e.g., income tax, value added tax, withholding taxes, among others)
• Facilitate and assist in the external and internal tax audits
• Address and manage tax notices and assessments, including coordination with examiners, review of document and schedules prepared by the team, and the check of the propriety of the assessment findings
• Prepare and update tax filing calendars for all the stakeholders across the company
• Assist in the preparation of Transfer Pricing Documentations (if necessary)
• Keep abreast of appropriate tax regulatory changes impacting assigned entities and translate changes into the processes and systems to ensure compliance
• Ensure final returns, working files and other related documents are stored on GDRIVE and determine if there are documents required by country law to be archived physically or electronically.
• Address the issues noted during day-to-day activities and review recommended solutions
• Help in training the different stakeholders in enhancing their tax awareness and consciousness towards the company’s compliance with national tax laws
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Finance Director and/or Group Tax
