Seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Specialist-Maintenance Planning who will be responsible in the maintenance planning of all equipment maintained by the department which includes the surface mobile and equipment, underground mobile and fixed plant equipment, communications and IT, and camp facilities equipment. The role will report to the Supervisor – Planning.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Planning and scheduling of all maintenance work through computerized maintenance management system-Pronto Xi, to ensure resources are prioritized in accordance with the maintenance strategy
• Ensure planned routine maintenance, non-routine maintenance, breakdowns, approved modifications are scheduled to be undertaken with minimum disruption to the mining operation
• Ensure that parts, equipment, materials and tooling are allocated to the correct job before work is placed on the weekly work schedule
• Prepare and issue weekly maintenance schedule to execution team, contractors and other affected department, monitors compliance to weekly schedules and general maintenance effectiveness
• Liaise closely with the Supply Department to ensure expediting of outstanding orders, a continuity of supply of all replacement parts and spares levelling strategies
• Support day to day functions of the whole section of Asset Management Department as required by the Planning Supervisor

• Provide leadership and guidance to a specialist team of professionals engaged with non-process infrastructure projects and operational support service delivery functions including:
  • Delivery of site-based infrastructure and civil projects.
  • Delivery of community infrastructure projects
  • Execution of tailings facility lifts
  • Camp management including catering and camp maintenance service contractors,
  • Travel and Logistics for rostered staff and visitors.
  • Maintenance of buildings, infrastructure and grounds within the Didipio footprint
• Responsible for managing all aspects of the Business Services team, including achieving performance outcomes, workflow management, reviewing and overseeing tasks, staff administration and professional development, consistent with technical principles and in an environment that is focused on integration, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Actively work with the management team and contribute to overall organizational development and implementation of strategies, priorities and schedules.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the General Manager - Operations Philippines and other internal and external parties.

Reporting Line

§  This position reports to the respective section’s Operations Executives and/or Junior Operations Executives.

Primary Responsibilities

§  Performs analyses and reports test results according to SGS Global policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and various management system standards such as ISO 9000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO/IEC 17025. 

§  Assists in troubleshooting technical-related problems and coaching lab analysts I and lab aides.

Specific Responsibilities

§  Performs sampling, testing and analyses in accordance with the procedures.

§  Performs verification of prepared reagents and solutions.

§  Prepares and updates reports related to the analyses performed.

§  Operates and maintains equipment used in performing analyses.

§  Signs worksheets and other forms as required by procedures.

§  Assists JOE in checking, evaluating, reporting, signing, and sending of results of analysis.

§  Coaches lab analysts I and lab aides on the performance of test, analyses, and sample preparation.

§  Conducts troubleshooting of technical-related problems and suggests alternative solutions.

• Conducts monthly inventory and updates inventory records.
• Assists in the review and checking of all monitoring records.
• Archives quality and technical records and updates job files in records identifier library monthly.
• Performs specific laboratory procedures for method modification, verification, and validation.
• Ensures compliance to the Group and national policies including but not limited to the maintenance of the Integrated Management System.
