• Read & Interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications, and understands asset’s operation and it’s components

Seeking a suitable and reliable Technician - Electrical & Instrumentation (L2) who will be responsible in implementing the agreed maintenance strategies to ensure good equipment electrical availability and reliability, and ensure that all appliances, equipment, and devices will be safe to use with all electrical hazards kept low if not eliminated. The role will report to the Supervisor – Electrical & Instrumentation.

Seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Service Data Coordinator (UG Equipment-Mobile) who will be responsible for the accurate and timely entry of maintenance data from various workshop documents and reports into the company’s maintenance management software or database. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the data used for analysing equipment performance, scheduling preventive maintenance, and facilitating decision-making for repairs and replacements are reliable and up to date. The role will be reporting to the Supervisor-Mechanical Maintenance (UG Mobile Equipment).

Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Ensures compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment policies and procedures;
• Participate in identifying hazardous working conditions and safety problems through a risk 
assessment process;
• Demonstrate proper use, care, and operate safety equipment and devices;
• Take actions to correct reported unsafe work practices and conditions;

• Take full accountability in taking care of responsibility issued safety equipment and devices such as locks, lockers and others.

Reporting Line

§  This position reports to the respective section’s Operations Executives and/or Junior Operations Executives.

Primary Responsibilities

§  Performs analyses and reports test results according to SGS Global policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and various management system standards such as ISO 9000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO/IEC 17025. 

§  Assists in troubleshooting technical-related problems and coaching lab analysts I and lab aides.

Specific Responsibilities

§  Performs sampling, testing and analyses in accordance with the procedures.

§  Performs verification of prepared reagents and solutions.

§  Prepares and updates reports related to the analyses performed.

§  Operates and maintains equipment used in performing analyses.

§  Signs worksheets and other forms as required by procedures.

§  Assists JOE in checking, evaluating, reporting, signing, and sending of results of analysis.

§  Coaches lab analysts I and lab aides on the performance of test, analyses, and sample preparation.

§  Conducts troubleshooting of technical-related problems and suggests alternative solutions.

• Conducts monthly inventory and updates inventory records.
• Assists in the review and checking of all monitoring records.
• Archives quality and technical records and updates job files in records identifier library monthly.
• Performs specific laboratory procedures for method modification, verification, and validation.
• Ensures compliance to the Group and national policies including but not limited to the maintenance of the Integrated Management System.
