About the role

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Senior Engineer – Project Execution for a fixed term employment (2 years) who will be responsible in the execution and delivery of various projects planned to sustain mining operations and various external projects are completed safely, within an approved budget, and time frame. The role will assist the Section Superintendent in all areas of responsibilities within the section for the Business Services Department. The role will report to the Superintendent – Project Execution.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Adherence to OGPI procedures on Health and Safety having a strong commitment to  ensuring safe project execution. 
• Adherence to OGPI Contractor Management Procedures.
• Develop, manage, and lead a team of field engineers. 
• Provide oversight and administration to all projects being undertaken for the mining operations and community projects, this will include basic community infrastructure to major complex builds. 
•  Ensure all approved project construction plans are executed in accordance with specifications, schedule and budget requirements.
• Develop construction methodologies to ensure seamless execution, efficiency, provide scheduling opportunities, and properly manage risks involved in achieving target deliverables.
• Facilitate contingency measures for catch up opportunities to be able to complete projects within a specified schedule.  
• Establish and maintain engineering systems, appropriate checks and balances are in place to ensure procedural compliance and accuracy; and put in place appropriate communication tools to mitigate the risk of miscommunication, re-work, and loss.
• Maintain records of all projects under execution, providing an up-to-date database for management review. 
• Monitor the reporting of workplace incidents and hazards to ensure effective risk mitigation is maintained.
• Assist in the formulation and reviews of the document control system to ensure that applicability and effectiveness is achieved and that the quality is aligned with the OGC’s document control standard
• Timely generation of shift and weekly reports, contractor’s equipment and manpower timesheet verification, variation reports, and;  
•  Work with other departmental personnel, area owners, and end users to deliver the projects to everyone’s satisfaction. 

• Develops and implements effective legal strategies to address complex issues, including litigation, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution;
• Represents the organization in litigation, negotiations, and  legal proceedings demonstrating persuasive oral advocacy skills;
• Manages a diverse portfolio of legal matters, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources effectively to achieve legal goals;
• Participates in the conduct of stakeholder mapping ,recommends appropriate engagement strategies and assists in the management of certain stakeholders;
• Proactively identifies opportunities to use stakeholder engagement to deliver strategic benefits;
• Develops and implements contractor management strategies that align with legal requirements, risk management principles, and industry standards; and
• Conducts thorough due diligence on potential contractors, assessing their financial stability, track record, and compliance history.

Seeking a suitably qualified and reliable Senior Geologist – Mine GeologyExploration to support and assist the company in its pursuit of exploration and discovery of Au-Cu deposits in the Philippines. The role will report to the ManagerSuperintendent – Exploration.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced exploration techniques, such as geophysical surveys or remote sensing, to identify geological anomalies and targets
• Integrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to develop conceptual models of mineralization and exploration targets
• Conduct detailed geological assessments and prospective studies to prioritize exploration targets and guide drilling programs
• Apply advanced structural geology principles to interpret complex geological structures and their implications for mineralization and mine planning
• Utilize geological modelling software and GIS tools to integrate geological data and develop three-dimensional geological models of mining areas
• Conduct detailed geological investigations and assessments to identify exploration targets and optimize mine development strategies

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Senior Business Partner – Contracts to manage and oversee tender and contract management, ensure that all commercial contracts/tender processes, terms, and conditions are well prepared/negotiated, followed, implemented, coordinated with internal/external customers, and completed. Responsible for implementing strategic sourcing in the procurement of goods and services to be under contract and warrant that goods and services of high value/risk are covered under contracts. The role will be reporting to the Superintendent – Procurement.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Maintains and updates contracts registry for the company and physical and digital records in coordination with the Legal Department
• Responsible for the preparation, revision, review, update, and completion of contracts for goods and services including preparation of contract plans and strategies
• Negotiate contract terms with external and internal customers and get the best value
• Ensure understanding and compliance by the internal customers/contract owners of the contract terms
• Collaborate with contract owners for the proper implementation of contract terms
• Attend contract meetings including performance evaluation meetings for suppliers/service provider as maybe required and ensure to report matters discussed in the meeting
• Implement contract management in accordance with applicable company standards/policies
• Identify goods and services for tender in coordination with relevant internal customers
• Prepare a tender plan including strategies to maximize the value of the tender process
