Qualifications:

• This person needs to be an expert at Google search, writing, and organizing information according to a specific prospecting process, and capturing and recording the information according to file templates, folder structures, etc.

Monthly Activities:

• Bank and credit card reconciliations - Completing reconciliations for all bank and credit card accounts in preparation of hand-off at Back Office Stars.
• Recording accruals - Posting accruals for payroll and contractors to ensure expenses related to revenue earned are properly recorded within their respective months.
• Depreciation postings - Completing monthly entries for depreciation expenses.

• Preparation of tax slips and forms - Creating and distributing all employee's T4s and T2200s. Ensuring T4s are filed by CEO/S&W.

Ad Hoc Activities:

Preparation of custom/specialized reports - Creating reports as necessary to provide the data needed by the SLT to make informed decisions

CRA audits - Participate and support PBS's partners (Smith & West and Back Office Stars) in any audit conducted by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, the Staff Accountant will support the monthly accounting close and consolidation process in partnership and collaboration with members of the broader accounting team and other stakeholders throughout the Company.  This position will maintain close working relationships with Corporate and Segment Controllership and Finance teams and various other departments throughout the organization, including Treasury, Legal and HR.  The Staff Accountant is a full-time role.

An accounting staff is a member of the accounting department who performs routine financial and accounting tasks. Accounting Staff are often responsible for preparing reports, maintaining general ledgers and accounts payable files, and keeping up with the company's tax obligations.

• Male or Female

• At least a Bachelor’s / College degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

• With or without experience in the basic principles of Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping

• Process invoice
