Key tasks and responsibilities: 

• Provide leadership and guidance to a specialist team engaged with mobile equipment and fixed plant maintenance to: 

• Strengthen the safe work culture through actively leading and supporting Didipio’s safe systems of work.  

• Safely support the delivery of production targets  

• Collaborate closely with the Processing Manager in the planning and execution of maintenance activities. 

• Work closely with other operational leaders to develop and execute annual and Life of Mine plans for the business.  

• Responsible for managing all aspects of the Asset Maintenance, including safety,  performance outcomes, workflow management, reviewing and overseeing tasks, staff administration and professional development, consistent with technical principles and in an environment that is focused on integration, performance, and continuous improvement. 

• Manage the development of the forward maintenance program (including specific projects) for critical equipment through the development of detailed route maintenance strategies and analysis and interpretation of asset inventory, condition, history, treatment options, cost and other relevant information. 

• Review and improve business systems, processes and costs and report on activities, performance and issues against plans and budgets. 

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Asset President – Didipio Operations and other internal and external parties. 

• Responsible for the planning and executing long-term scheduled plans for all equipment maintained by the department for both surface and underground.
• Responsible for maintaining a Zero-Injury workplace environment.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of long-term maintenance strategies for all equipment maintained by the department for both surface and underground.
• Ensures quality services are delivered on time, within budget, and sets team objectives aligned with OceanaGold’s Values and Visions.

• Provides recommendations for capital investment projects based on predictive analytics and long-term forecasting.
• Develop and manage asset life cycle plans, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring cost-effective asset utilization,
• Conduct detailed risk and cost-benefit analyses to recommend optimal asset replacement, refurbishment, or disposal strategies.
• Monitors asset performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and optimize reliability.
• Monitors and reports on capitalized components project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Engineer-Geotechnical (Level 2) to ensure geotechnical-related concerns are addressed and or mitigated by effective planning and implementation of geotechnical plans and procedures. De-risking the UG mining operation against adverse geotechnical conditions that present a risk to the short and long-term objectives of the Didipio operation.  This job includes providing geotechnical support and education to the workforce providing technical support to establish safe and efficient paste-filling operations, monitoring the implementation of the ground control management and paste-fill management plans and performing daily to monthly geotechnical functions of the geotechnical section. The role will report to the Supervisor–Geotechnical.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Review and update Trigger Action Response Plans (TARPs)
• Develop and implement data acquisition, geotechnical modelling, and ground control standards, procedures, and processes
• Review and implementation of PHMP ground and strata instability plan (underground and surface), GCMP, and Paste fill Management plan
• Prepare and implement ground support designs and plans (Cable bolt, Ground Support Standards and rehabilitation plans)
• Analyse and interpret geotechnical data (i.e. rock mass rating, laboratory testing, mapping, logging and modelling)
• Inspect active and inactive underground headings, and surface landforms within the mine site and identified community area
• Manage and analyse UG and surface monitoring systems (Prisms, inclinometer, radar)
• Implement geotechnical plans to address risks and challenges identified and create and manage geotechnical structural models
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost control and forecasting
• Follow up with contractors, suppliers, and consultants regarding deliverables to ensure timeliness of delivery and completeness of supplies
