General Key Accountabilities:

1. Check, review and verify Customs inbound shipments before turning it over to Third Party Broker.
   • Use Document Completion and Compliance Checklist form. (Insert the path file here)
   • Coordinates with customer any discrepancy w/in 24 hours of receipt of documents and/or per customer SOP.

4. Coordinates with the third-party broker and ensuring that broker complies with Expeditors and end-customer requirement in preparing import entry declaration.
   • Use Entry Details Checklist (insert the path file here) when checking the draft SAD/SDV.
5. Monitor permits or clearances managed by third Party Broker are compliant with the requirements.
   • Check if OGA permit is required prior to arrival.
   • Coordinates with Supervisor/AM/Customs Compliance Specialist if need assistance.
6. Ensure that customers are well - informed of the shipment status and required metrics sent in timely manner – per KPI.
   • Always refer to Customer SOP for the requirements.
   • Send shipment status daily on per shipment basis or per Daily Status Report in compliance with the customer requirements.
7. Ensure 3rd party broker billing is timely and accurate.
   • Coordinates with the documentation if no 3rd party billing posted in edoc at the time of posting of billing to Customs particularly for receipted charges.
8. Post billing invoice w/in the EI and Customer KPI.
   • Billing to customer must be posted w/in 3 days of RLS per OPS.
   • Comply with DAP, DDP Policy in posting FDS billing.
   • Make sure supporting documents are available before posting billing to customer so documentation team can dispatch the billing invoice timely per Customer SOP.
9. Coordinates with the Trucking Team for the delivery schedule. Monitor trucker’s DLV & POD performance.
   • Reserve truck at least 2 days prior to target delivery date and/or positioning of truck at CFS/CY.
   • Secure CRO/Gate pass at least 2 days prior to delivery date. Refer to CRO process per carrier requirement.
   • For any delay in empty container, escalate the matter with the customer & customer appointed freight forwarder/carrier. Any delay in empty container entails additional trucking cost hence timely communication is a key to collect additional trucking cost from the customer.
10. 10. Monitor Customs Work board and ensure necessary tasks completed in accordance with specifications and deadlines.
    • Files in Work board should be the current files. Ageing files requires explanation.
    • Work board must be always open throughout the day.  
    • Manage the requirement event codes per customer requirements.

12. To attend cargo physical inspection/examination and join in the cargo survey and/or join in the meeting with the broker/ customer when deemed necessary.

Compliance

• Assist Customers in filing BOC/CPRS/AMO renewal application as required.

• Assist Customer Service in OGA permits/licenses applications on behalf of the customers.

Internal Reviews and Monitoring

• Conduct weekly review of SGL Re-entry submission in accordance with prescribed regulation.
• Conduct daily review of FTZ shipment in accordance with BOC and PEZA requirements.
• Conduct weekly review of Entry Packet Submission by the 3rd party Broker with the Weekly Release Shipment Report.
• Conduct weekly review of entry of Approved TPB GCI in CFIT.
• Review HS Codes  supplied by importers to identify potential red flags and inaccuracies’
• Review HS Codes determination is performed by the 3rd Party Broker through the Customer Service.
• Complete annual Self-Audit, as administered by CHQ.
• Assist Regional Compliance Team with ensuring all monitoring reports are reviewed timely.
• Complete Monthly Import customs review as well as random checks throughout the month to ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal requirements. 

Information

• Ensure that branch employees are kept up to date on Customs and OGA related developments. Read daily publications of Port Calls, local customs publications (e.g., Pipelines, Public Bulletins, etc.). Visit customs and OGA websites on a regular basis. Ensure familiarity with Customs’ Informed Compliance Publications.
• Maintain current editions of required reference materials. These materials include local Customs Pipelines or Bulletins, Customs Info, Explanatory Notes.
• Meet with Customs on a regular basis; establish relationship and obtain feedback regarding branch standing with local Customs. Communicate with Customs and Other Government Agencies regarding compliance issues as needed.
• Attend monthly Brokerage/Compliance Managers’ Conference Calls.
• Meet regularly with Trade Compliance counterpart.
• Independently identify any customs compliance risks within the branch and escalate to the Customs Brokerage Manager as well as the Regional Customs Director.

Post Entry/Import Reviews

• Monitor Post Entry Modification, Refund, and Voluntary Disclosures Filings.
• Ensure proper and timely filing of protest for tentative release and other related matters associated to customs clearance in accordance with regulatory.
• Report all penalties/fines associated with the shipment internally up to customer.
• Manage all post entry activities, from start to finish, using Import Review Process in place.
• Manage import reviews for some customers as required.

Training

• Prepare and hold training sessions on a regular basis for CHB personnel. Topics should be based on the following:
  • Issues apparent in customs
  • Problems discovered during Import Reviews
  • New customs/OGA developments and procedures
• Assist entry personnel with compliance-related questions and issues.

Sales/Marketing

• Support sales/account management staff and brokerage manager in new business development and transitions, as needed.

• Responding to User Requests: Tech Hub Engineers are responsible for answering phone calls, emails, and chat messages from end-users who need assistance with IT-related issues. • Troubleshooting: Tech Hub Engineers must have a good understanding of hardware, software, and networking components to be able to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively. • Escalating Issues: Service Desk Level 1 technicians are responsible for escalating more complex issues to the appropriate Level 2 or Level 3 support teams. They must ensure that all relevant information is captured and documented in the ticketing system before escalating the issue.
• Ticket Management: Tech Hub Engineers are responsible for managing tickets throughout their lifecycle. This includes creating new tickets, updating existing tickets, and closing tickets when issues are resolved.
• Remote Support: Tech Hub Engineers must be able to provide remote support to end-users who are not in the same location as the technician. This can include using remote control tools to access end-users’ computers and troubleshoot issues.
• Knowledge Base Management: Tech Hub Engineers must be able to contribute to the knowledge base by documenting solutions to common issues. This helps to reduce the number of tickets that are escalated and provides a reference for other technicians who may encounter similar issues.
• Customer Service: Tech Hub Engineers must provide excellent customer service to end-users. This includes being patient, courteous, and professional at all times, even when dealing with difficult users.
• Documentation: Tech Hub Engineers must maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. This information is used to train new technicians and ensure consistency in service delivery.
• Overall, Tech Hub Engineers are responsible for ensuring that end-users receive prompt and effective support for their IT-related issues.
